Voynov was guilty of a domestic violence incident in his personal life. He has been punished. Hopefully he has learned from it. Hopefully he has grown from it. If that IS the case, should he not be forgiven???

I'm NO fan of men hitting women....ever, at all, period. (Well if some big tough chick is kicking my ass in a psycho rage and is not mentally challenged...I would have to think hard about it, if I don't get hard ...).

I was raised around domestic violence and have protected women my whole life if witness to it too so don't throw any of that BS at me.

People do change and grow, but forgiveness doesn't mean he should be automatically be accepted back after his league suspension.

I dont think people are being "holier than thou", I think some people just don't like to cheer for someone who has done that, and they have every right to feel that way. It's a privilege to play in the NHL and maybe he lost that privilege as a consequence to what he did. Public opinion will be a big part of determining that.

We'll all have our opinions on it but in the end if he's seeking forgiveness that will come from his family and close friends IMO. Whether or not he plays in the NHL will be a business decision based on how much fans can stomach.
