Green was in the running for the Jack Adams Trophy. The best coach since Torts.

Lol, Desjardins!

Tanev is not the answer nor is Stecher

I don't care what anyone says I like Ristolainen who puts up 40 pts a year and is salary controlled for two more years.

I like him as well, get er done.

You don't score 40 pts every year playing in your own end.

Soon as Buffalo got some scoring his plus / minus came way down. Amazing

The Islanders will be fine once they rebuild Nassau (which they're supposedly doing now) as moving them to Brooklyn was the worst decision ever. NJ will also bounce back once the team is decent again.

That was the worst stadium I've ever been to for hockey. It was tailor made for basketball, not an oval ice surface. Blocked sightlines, empty behind one net, jumbotron not centered....

On the other hand, really cheap tickets! Could go to Canucks games for like $20.

Like that will change with the Canucks' system?

And as soon as Tanev got some better defensive partners his injuries came way down. Amazing

No.The 50 shots allowed per most games starts with the garbage system Green has and the forwards not sticking to their assignment. Yes the defense shoulders some responsibility but it is not their fault alone.

I still wouldn't pay a shot blocker 6 mil.

Also Tanev also had years with Edler Hamuis Bieksa Mitchell and still averaged 50 games a year. Contract years are a funny animal.

And the same is said for Ristolainen, no guarantee’s he will beRisto of this year, maybe another -47 for next year....especially on Greens (frank)ed up systems.

I am paying for past averages. Risto the last 5 years has put up 40 plus points a year and Tanev has put up 50 games a year average .

I would take the chance on the 40 points over the 50 games.

To each their own, maybe replace Stecher with Risto, I’d rather Tanev over Risto.

That would be great if new UFA market cost controls Tanev down and Stecher + ? is acceptable to Sabers. But that also means TT and Marky don't get signed unless there is some new measures for cap relief by NHL.

Though reality is that Green getting fired now is a bigger pipe dream then keeping all the Canuck UFA/RFA's and/or adding better ones.

Edlers points have gone down so he is now a pretty reliable Defensive guy . Tanev is the same and Stecher doesn't put up points.

If I am spending 6 mil on a Dman I sure want something better.

Canucks don't have a stud Dman in the waiting . Our guy is Hughes . Hughes looked very good with Schenn and he makes Myers look better also. I think you can pretty well put him with most Dmen.

I really hope Tanev decides to go to Tor so we are forced to try something different.

Different? That’s my cue lol

Nobody on the roster does what Tanev does. Replacing him is big shoes to fill.
