Free wing wednesdays at the Moose! I used to go there with some friends regularly back when I was at Canadore College. This was back in 2001-03.

They really are startling when you see them.

Might be the ugliest creature on earth.

And here's a crazy bit of trivia for you: despite what Mr. Carlson may have told you, turkeys can fly.

Domesticated ones can't. They've been bred to have breast meat so large and juicy, it weighs them down.

- Atomic Wedgie

Turkey season is coming up.

Since people are talking about food here...
I made a nice potato and leek soup with a chicken broth base and bits of chicken added in. Pretty good, although I had to use milk instead of cream.
Probably the last homemade soup I'll make for a while since the weather is warming up.

Talk about homemade lol. Not only did I make the chicken broth, we raised the chicken and got a friend to clean it for us.

I’m impressed. Buy the friend?

They absolutely can fly. And they’re so hard to outsmart. They’re everywhere around here, it’s hard to even get a picture of one without it running away.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

Call em in. It’s easy.

That’s why there are 2 hunting seasons now, spring and fall. One of the most successful re-introductions ever...unlike the Atlantic salmon stocking program in Lake Ontario.
