The fact that you react to criticism with questions about alternative super powers suggests you have a pretty out dated view of the world, a view where America’s power could be assessed by steaming a couple of carriers into the Persian Gulf of South China Sea or overthrowing a government in South America.

Until Trump America was starting to adjust to a reality that getting ahead means getting along - starting. But that sure got shot to hell.

Down play the seriousness of the issue as it exposed is weakness and incompetence as a leader. I think people overstate the impact the president (or any president) has on the country. It's more irreparable damage to their image and reputation as a country.
