Glad the us didn't vote hilary in, imagine her calmly and intelligently running this show while sending emails out on her iphone 11ish?
Ugh, it would just be devastating

She'd be too busy running her child sex ring out of the basement of a pizza parlour because that was a real thing that totally happened and wasn't made up at all.

I just watched the 4 part DW doc on the history of slavery/slave routes. I definitely look at history differently now. And subsequently what racism is, especially in America.

Have you looked at the 1619 project by the NYT? Amazing collection of essays. I think you’d especially enjoy “If want to understand the brutality of capitalism, you have to start on the plantation.”

I haven’t seen that no, but I get the extent of the abuse, and it’s hard to fathom that people could be so cruel. Everything that happened in the New World was 100% done with slaves. The whole capitalist system was founded, and still relies on slaves. The world is so messed up.

Thorny topic. Purists may cite the geometric argument that a cup cannot be considered a bar based on shape alone. A more progressive view by inclusionists would argue that the substance of the treat being predominantly chocolate should see Reese's fall under the same categorization. Truly, I can't think of a more divisive and polarizing issue facing society today.

I seem to recall that the 1619 Project was the subject of a bit of controversy.

They are pretty (frank)in good. Chocolate and peanut butter just goes together so perfectly, like enslaving Albertans and Blackface.

This is more about how the systems established under slavery: accounting, management, etc are baked into American capitalism. Slavery is the reason American treatment of workers is more repressive than almost other industrialized society. It’s not some off to the side cruelty. It’s the basis of the US economy

Reese’s should make a Nanaimo Bar Cup. I’d buy that.

Are you trying to break the internet? I'm not even going to touch that one.

I will say this though. An "open face" sandwich is not a (frank)ing sandwich. Unless you are talking about cutting the face off an animal and putting it between TWO pieces of bread.
