Of course the prospect pool is gonna be low for a team who’s completely loaded with a bunch of early 20-something stars. Their kids are already contributing.
It just make sense.
Few have a long stretch of winners like the Lightning did for a span. Having a great team of youngsters plus a deep farm is rare.
And who cares? Guys like Marner, Matthews, and Nylander will be playing for a loooong time
