I hope you understand that I'm not arguing this as my personal belief or that this is a good thing. It's obviously completely absurd and more than a little dystopian. I'm just explaining why things are the way they are, and why the special interest money will not stop. It's their "1st Amendment Right"

And that unfortunately along with not having term limits are part of the problem.

Good Post, unfortunately these monopolies have a foot hold, and unless the somehow someone steps in to set new rules and regulations or altleast enforce the regulations in place,, it won't happen for small businesses.

and this is the biggest argument against capitalism.. yet this isn't capitalism. We don't live in a true capitalist country anymore and haven't for about a hundred years..

We have to find a way in this Country to level out pricing for everything, from Grocery store products to housing and so forth. I don't think it can be done because Companies think more of profit then equal opportunities.

This is true, but if we start giving more power to the government to "level things out" the politicians pockets will only become more full.
Many people are becoming more and more willing to accept bigger government, which is astounding to me when we all can see that the politicians aren't there for their constituents.

It wasn't always like that, it started changing like that in the 70's and progressively got worse.

Still not putting Klima in there sorry. Like Courtnall, no one game planned for either of them. You had to have a plan for Probert. When on his game he was an All Star, they weren’t.
- dadeadhead

Klima scores over 30 goals 5x, 40 once

Probert’s high was a respectable 29
He had a couple decent years, but was a goon overall

Probert’s BEST year scoring was Klima’s AVERAGE during their prime
It’s really not close dude

It started way before that. Ford created the assembly line so he could maximize profits. He also basically invented mass produced charcoal. There was a poopload of scrap left over, so they made charcoal. The company? Kingsford.

Even that is 5 times a full year of 09-10 H1N1, where we had a vaccine after a few months. Since people love comparing the two.

It's not selling low if his value continues to fall. It's selling high.

I'd say most people here have completely punted on him being a 2nd line center for the Sabres. Now the hope is he'll make it as a top-6 winger

I'm not afraid to lose him at all. Even if he pans out. As long as I get a real center in the trade, I'm all set

- jcragcrumple

They did that for ROR too
Lots of geniuses here

The selling low i was talking about refers to his talent/ceiling
It doesn’t make sense to me to to trade him if his value has dropped so far that we need to add a 1st to get a guy who has a lower ceiling than Mitts
*using Strome as the example here

I’m confident in Cozens being 2C quality
So I’d rather swing for the fences with Mitts than give up on such a talent

Shorten the term, fine, but the Big Government policies (that many seem very willing to accept, and are even advocating for) will still remain. While the people are still left holding the shortest straw.

Well I think you know that I was not a fan of trading he-who-shall-not-be-named, but this is radically different as Mittelstadt has produced precisely jack and poop in terms of positive results in the NHL.

I'm not a huge Strome fan (or at least at a high price) but I would flip Mitts and a 1st to CGY for Monahan and never look back. I dont care about what ifs and picks and prospects anymore. If he goes on to have a great career, good for him. Just give me a good player

Totally over it

Probert brings more to the team than either one of them with the players in that lineup.

Yzerman
LaFontaine
Neely
Makarov(remember he was one of the best players in world not in the NHL for a decade)

All were capable of being 50+ goal scorers

I’m standing by my lineup.

Appreciate you disagreeing but not changing my stance.

When Klima and Courtnall are laying in the ice like a couple of Bellows you’ll maybe get it
