Karlos Williams is attempting to make a comeback in the CFL, trying to shed the one-hit wonder label and holding absolutely nothing back.

"Doug Whaley can eat a díck," he said.

The discussion on Mitts the other day was interesting and did cause me to look back at comparable Forwards selected in the 7,8,9 spot in drafts from 2005 -> 2017.

For each of those players I looked up their production over their 1st 113 games, the same as Mitts has played. There were roughly 25 players, I dumped the file accidentally. However, the results were that Mitts fits squarely at the bottom 40% of the pool with a PPG rate of 0.34. There were 4 or 5 flameout, and then a group of 5 or 6 at or close to his PPG production., including Nylander at 0.38 in only 84 games. In that grouping, there were several Meh players, but a couple good ones as well, like Timo Meier.

So, Casey could continue to develop and mature to become a very good player no doubt. That said,
Being in the bottom half points to him being more of a Meh player (3rd liner?) than a top 6, if/when he makes it back to the NHL.

Well he can get his shot with Chicago. Cause I think he will be involved in a package for Strome.

We got Lucas Raymond in the Athetlic’s Beat Writer Mock Draft of the top 15 picks this morning.

Would be a solid addition to the prospect ranks.

Would be.
Where did Rossi and Holtz go?

I'm still hoping we get Granlund too, just so I know my "source" is legit.

Botts has had 2 years to pull the trigger on any trade for a center. I don’t think that is changing anytime soon

Sadly, He will bank on mitts and / or cozens I bet.

I'd be happy with mitts being a solid 3rd liner in buffalo.
Maybe work on his defensive game a bit.
15 goal/35-40 point guy?

Well we don't have to trade for him know, just would depend on what he wants in FA. Plus you would probably put him at RW with the option of C

No i wouldn't be happy if he was a 3rd liner maybe if he was a 3rd or 2nd round pick we passed on Necas and glass Vilardi ..

He just needs to stop eating bad and playing video games all day ..

I wish he take things seriously like Nathan MacKinnon when he realized he could be the best ever if he worked at it

So in short, he was a professional athlete, didn't take care of his body, then additionally resorted to drugs to deal with his stress.

Sounds like Whaley made the right move for once.

4 and 5 if I remember correctly.

TSN’s mock draft we got Holtz at 8.
