Fitz I can't believe you are seriously saying that well and house liquor give you the same hangovers...

No, just no.

There's a huge difference in the purity of higher grade liquor than with low-end stuff, come on man.

Wine is the true scam - Most wine is more or less the same, the price goes up when you harvest less grapes and let people glean your crops - seriously look into it. The most "esteemed" wine makers can charge higher prices as long as they harvest only a certain percentage of their vineyard.

There's always going to be bad wine but I have watched a documentary on it, taken mandatory courses while serving at a private club, done some of my own reading and research...

Wine is one of the biggest scams in the world. It's right up there with printer ink and diamonds.

And as far as high end vs. low end liquor, I'll ask you this: Go and buy enough materials to bake 2 cakes. For one cake, buy the cheapest products you can for each ingredient. For the next product, buy the most expensive ingredients you can for each ingredient.

If you can't taste the difference, you have Covid-19 and you are going to die because you won't be able to smell the fire in your kitchen when you forget about the second cake and fall asleep on the couch. So now you died of covid and smoke inhalation.

Wheeler did a mock draft that had teams selecting by their biggest needs and had one of Stutzle or Raymond falling to us at 7.

Sabres would win the draft if that happened.

I’d be very excited about that
Heck, I’d be considering those guys at pick2

For further explanation: I have bought 5 dollar wine that is some of the best wine I have ever tasted, no hangover, 5 star wine...

There is really bad cheap wine, yes, but as a rule of thumb, wine is either good or bad, regardless of price...

I have never bought a 5 dollar bottle of Whiskey and enjoyed the taste, the buzz or the hangover... It's literally made to get the most drunk in the cheapest way. Cheap liquor is always cheap liquor... You get what you pay for. You have to spend a little money. There's a reason cheap stuff is called "gut rot".

However, cheap wine is not always "cheap" wine. You can't gauge a wine's quality by it's price. Liquor, you almost certainly can gauge the quality of it by the price of it.

It's like saying Dr. Thunder tastes like Dr. Pepper. Just no. However Welch's grape juice tastes just like Minute Maid's grape juice.

Beady,
“purity” doesn’t affect your hangover
The amount of alcohol (not the type),
how much food u ate the day of,
how hydrated your body was before you started drinking,
and especially your metabolism to process the alcohol
are BY FAR what affects it
Not whether or not there’s a minute amount of particulates in the 10oz of vodka Karen drank last night

Scientifically proven facts dude
NOT my opinion

The difference is in taste (which is subjective),
not in what creates hangovers

Were not talking about taste. We're talking about hangover effect.

And...

You don't research wine to learn about flavor and depth. You learn about wine by drinking it. And once you take steps that are beyond Mogan David, Carlo Rossi and the $8.99 shelf at your local gas station you start to appreciate higher quality.

Especially with wine, it's all bullpoop. If you like it, drink it. Spending more does not necessarily mean you're getting better wine.

If you like it drink it is cool but it doesn't necessarily mean you understand it or understand why a more expensive bottle of wine is worth it

After 102 games through Karlsson's first three NHL seasons, he had produced a grand total of 25 points.

Ryan Johansson produced a grand total of 33 points through his first two seasons and 107 total games.

Great that both were playing full time in the NHL. They were playing full time and producing very little. How impactful were they? Not is the answer.

Karlsson's shot and xg share numbers were still solid. Johansen struggled in his second season, but was still fairing better than mittelstadt did.

I honestly can't recall the last time a top 10 pick had underlying numbers as bad as his in his DY+3 season

That's the whole point, other than the $2.99 bargain bin, it's not.

That's true but the expectations matter too. wild bill was a late 2nd rounder. After pick 24/25 everyone is kind of lumped into the "hope this works out" category.

If you're getting drafted at 8, you should be able to stick around at 21 years old. Although that is a stronger criticism of the guys who drafted him at 8 rather than mittelstadt himself.

dude...let it go...if you want to drink a $2.99 bottle of wine, go right ahead, but don't try and tell me it tastes anywhere near upper echelon bottles...in fact it's pure rot gut compared to them...

just because you might have an unsophisticated palate doesn't mean everyone else has one or should aspire to that

It’s pretty simple.

After 100 NHL games, Karlsson was playing full time in the NHL. Same for Johansen.

After 100 NHL games, Mittlestat is a full time AHLer and ISNT looking like he’s miscast there.

- Der Kaiser

to be honest though

the sabres have been run by the misfit toys for the last 6 years
