you can't be a hockey player until you talk to someone who cooks wings in a microwave

Can't stand Vodka or Wine. But if you guys like a good Whiskey Jack Daniel's No.27 Gold is very tasty, and the Sinatra Select is delicious but expensive. Both very tasty and didn't get a bad hangover at all.

Everyone gets hangovers, depending how much you drink. I just believe everybody's body handles it differently.

this is what you wrote:

"I have talked to the guys he cares more about video games then working out
Jack has called him out many times and tried working out with but doesn't take the diet part seriously at all

He thinks you can work and just eat the same poop and the results will happen."

Thats exactly right .. jack tried putting him under his wing last summer but he decided to get his own guy that worked out ..

And ofcourse the sabres had to spin it ..

I'm pretty sure he will get over this its not like hes doing hardcore drugs its just video games and not eating right those can be fixed in 1 summer

I still believe he will be a top 10 player

And I've noticed people who enjoy scotch are the ones who can handle their booze, usually because of A LOT of experience

I think the biggest contributing factor to hangovers is the amount of alcohol consumption.

Just a thought.

If I have 10 double Tito’s and teas vs 10 double well vodka and teas it equates to me feeling meh in the morning vs WTF was the number of that fvcking train?

Noticed to that the older I get it seems the hangovers are worse and last longer.

It comes down to severity.

The mixer plays a part.
The amount you drink regularly plays a huge part.
Are you mixing beer and liqour or liqour and shots.

I know if I don’t drink shots and just stick with a drink I can drink all day and feel meh the next day. I get over it quick.

If I drink shots along with a drink I can drink all day and feel like absolute poop the next day. It takes me 8-10hrs to get over it.

Moral of the story
I have a good time either way.

Wheeler did a mock draft that had teams selecting by their biggest needs and had one of Stutzle or Raymond falling to us at 7.

Sabres would win the draft if that happened.

Perhaps I should have used the phrase "hockey character" rather than merely character.

It brings up an interesting point, which was highlighted in an article yesterday on The Athletic about Scouts who get it Right. Character was identified as one of the things Scouts look for, but the term was undefined, therefore a scout or two devalued it until it could be better defined and accepted by the majority.

Without an abundance of time spent on it, these are qualities that IMO would be included in the definition of Hockey Character, and were in the back of my mind when I typed that sentence:
-Intense desire to win
-Willingness to excel at and in practice
-Consistently making sacrafices to put your career and team 1st
-Intense desire to excel
-Persistence in fighting for the top
-Absolute love for the game, 1st on, last off.
-Commitment to physical excellence

I think Mitts is very skilled, yet IMO I don't believe he has put his career and team 1st. I believe he was far superior to his competition that he hasn't driven himself to be the absolute best he can be. To me, that means he is lacking in Hockey Character. I see him in the same light as Nylander.

Others may feel otherwise, it's good.

I’m a few months shy of my 25th birthday and I can already relate lol. When I was 19 I was indestructible. The amount of crap in my system at that point would make my mother faint.

Now I have a few beers and I can feel it the next day.

Can’t imagine what a hangover at 40 would feel like.

My concerns extend beyond just the physical development. If it were all merely a question of physical strength and conditioning, we would expect to have seen more moments of brilliance like he exhibited in his first six games. But despite having big chunks of two more seasons to show those glimpses of brilliance, we never saw it.

And it isn’t as though he is putting the AHL on its head.

Take away that big splash in six games two years ago, and we have a kid who has shown NOTHING - whether in terms of talent or comitment - to justify any real value going forward.
