Yeah man. I'm thinking it's a good time to pick up some of his stuff I still haven't read. Good pandemic reading.

He’s a peculiar writer, very macho. He’s kind of Brian Burke with a beard. There’s no big plot twists, it’s all about the idea of courage and grace under pressure. The Old Man and the Sea and A Farewell to Arms might be his best.

Well...they do have a lot of wealth and power, they're just not immortal. It's a pretty good curse. Like JFK got shot in the head, but he also got blown by Marilyn Monroe.

I see what you mean. I get that sense even in the little amount I read. I have a whole bookshelf full of books, I’m dabbling in Steinbeck rn..
