I think Trump understands the importance of sports on the nation’s psyche, and the hope for its return in some form. No matter how bleak it may look today, a uniformed cancellation of all major league sports at this point in time, could have a devastating effect on an already very fragile society. It’s possible, he wants to be brought up to speed on what and how the leagues are thinking, and to give them some guidance as to the when the might be able to return. At least, that’s my hope.

yeah, doesn't sound much more to it other than he wanted to touch base with all the commisioners and thank them for what their leagues have done to contribute (helping out, charities, etc)
