Wouldn't the choice be to expose Mete or Fleury?

I feel he's a pretty complete defenseman... good speed, physical, big enough not to get pushed around and I don't think his shot can be any worse than Mete's.

i haven't seen much to convince me about Mete. he has a miserable time defending his zone and probably always will. which is not the end of the world if he excels at transition.... which he doesn't. not yet at least. he can carry the puck through the neutral zone. that's his strongest point i would say.

IMP he is a 5/6/7 defenceman ... he is a very good skater but an average passer, with a below average shot, no physical presence and at his very best average defensively ... the hockey equivalent of a utility infielder in baseball ... can be very useful but never a difference-maker.

I'm less impressed by Drouin...a turd trade....and by Domi who is a hot head and who is in a contract extension discussion....I'm not impressed with the development of recent draft picks. I'm not impressed with MB.....Mete has been a surprise....still more there...I hope we get to see it in Montreal and not in Seattle...

Keeping Weber so we can fall short for the playoffs again is pointless, and while we don't need the cap space now, who knows how we will be in the summer of 2023-2024, when we still have his salary for 3 years?

I prefer to compare him to a limited full back in soccer...good at carrying to the other zone, but doesn't necessarily do much once it gets there, and on defense has his main utility outside the box/slot.
