I'll defend Strome. At some point, you have a large enough sample size where his production can't just be written off as an abberation. Is his numbers helped by Panarin? Yes. However, if it was all him, why didn't Chytil or Kakko also rack up the points on that line?

If someone wants to make the argument they don't want to give 7 million to a guy who may be a 50 pt guy becoming a 70 pt guy from playing with an elite player, fine. If we let Strome walk, we become really thin at center. Though I should save this material for the actual Strome blog.

So you're the only other guy on Team Strome? Bit of a slump recently, but I'm all for keeping him.

I don't think I'm as firm ground as you, but I also know that we are in a situation where you are also kind of in a box where you have to keep him. I don't think he's worth north of 7 million and you might have to trade him if his agent asks to much.

I will be on your team that somehow he's only producing because of Panarin and somehow he will be Stinky 2.0 without him on the line. Strome was good last year without him, how many games does he need to preform for this team before we can admit that he's actually decent? If this slump was games 1-10 no one would be saying a word right now about the slump.

Also I really don't think sports are coming back anytime soon. And don't think there would be football in the Fall.

I think there will be two waves of this. I do think sports will get back up in the summer, but it'll be shut down again. CFB has talked about moving their games up to July. That actually might wind up saving them, but the bowls would probably be in trouble.

Jan this is also a question you can answer here or even blog about: There is a talk to teams being given a free CBO, could the team use this free buyout on Shatty's dead cap hit? To me that would be the obvious choice of wiping the book clean. Other guys like Staal, Smith, and Hank are all gone after this year.

He could price himself out of here. Yeah bad time to slump.
Even Panarin hasn't put up any points in weeks.
