They have tried to copy FOX in having "Personalities" give their opinions. That's where it feels very anti-Trump. They are very god at showing facts though and backing-up claims. - RogerRoeper
I used to work for a news network. You have to classify a show "news" or "entertainment". One is suppose to be factual and one doesn't have to be. FOX walks that line very well.
The FCC shouldn't allow a network that is classified as "news network" to run "opinion" or "entertainment". It seems very counterintuitive and opens the door to what we see now.....
but I digress. Waking up to the new count every day touches a nerve and gets me all political.
Go Leafs Go....oh wait no hockey. |

It is. That country is run so amazingly well. So safe (Yet they have more guns per capita than the U.S) . Fantastic health care and social structure. - RogerRoeper
Other than their banking and housing meltdowns, of course. |

Leafs might be one of the few teams who won’t use a buyout....if the NHL gives every team a buyout
They might be able to take advantage of this and get a pick or player in return to buy someone else out for a team |

I love Iceland.
But I have to say, it’s much easier to run a country half the size of Mississauga than countries the size of the US. |

He's really fast and he used to try to deke everybody and their mother all the time. Fun to watch, not sure that style is going to work against NHL defenders a lot. - AdamFrench

Mike Augello: New Leafs Convo: Were growing pains the reason for inconsistency? - mikeinbuffalo
Growing pains? ???
More like too many players with a one-way game + Mediocre defense & goaltending.
All that firepower cant make up for the lack of defense. Tavares is a career minus player and he is not setting the example for the younger guys to follow. Only interested in putting up points- not keeping the puck out of the net. |

Yup. They definitely will use it to their advantage. Some teams need 2+ buyouts. |

Isles are in cap hell and lost 7 in a row prior to the NHL getting shutdown.
The Pageau trade and signing is hilarious.
And you can try to hide between "Two way game " for Barzal. Him becoming a 60 point forward the last 2 years is a big blow.
All advanced stats show Matthews is a much better two way forward than Barzal.
There are so many overpaid 3rd and 4th liners on the Isles who are 30+ with years left in term. It's a bad situation. |

Ya, it's actually a bit of effort that most don't want to deal with. That's problem 1. - underhill14
Sean Hannity admits that he is not a 'news' reporter, but that he is the host of a opinion 'talk show'. The problem is that half of America doesn't understand that, and he is put on a 'News' channel in prime time as a direct mouthpiece for, and with complete access and fealty to the POTUS. It's institutionalized propaganda. Hannity is a disgusting, shameless, toadying shill. |

And if they didn't put up points they'd be ripped for being so overpaid.
Remind me why we are supposed to be upset Matthews had 47 goals, 80 point sin 70 games? - RogerRoeper

That's what is so frustrating. Trump takes no responsibility for any of his actions, yet there is still a large group of people that blindly support him. - PatC80

I am critical of reporters for not fighting back more. The issue they face is their mic's are cut off (on Saturday a CNN reporter had his mic cut off and he was asking a very ordinbary question and was very polite)and the WH attempts to take away their presses passes if they act like Jim Acosta. They are afraid.
Enough is enough though. They need to band together. Ask the same question over and over. |

I like MSNBC. Nicole Wallace has a show at 5 pm, usually with excellent contributors. This woman is a Republican, worked in the George Bush White House. Not afraid to call a spade on DJT, unlike the rest of the Republican establishment. Joe Scarborough also on MSNBC is another Republican, former member of Congress, who is not afraid to call out Donald. Having Republicans involved helps the credibility. Having said that, half of America just dismisses them as 'never-Trumpers'. - fifty__missions
Why?
There may be some ex-Republicans on MSNBC, however that still doesn't mean they check the validity of what they're reporting. Its a lazy company that I will never trust again. From Brian Williams to Rachel Maddow... lazy and seemingly more interested in pleasing the woke Twitter mobs than in reporting. While I'm at it...we shouldn't trust FOX or CNN either.
I miss hockey. We get home from work and don't have the sport we love anymore. There is only political arguments now... not that we're actually changing anything

Tavares is exactly what they are missing right now.And they could easily afford that cap hit without signing those horribly overpaid bottom 6 guys. |
