Well, the previous US administration had started putting plans in place for this but since the current administration's primary mandate has been to undo everything done by the Kenyan secret Muslim they thought it would be a good idea to disband the NSC pandemic response unit in 2018.

That's what's infuriating. For the past 3+ years it's been about dismatling everything Obama diod. Even Michelle Obama's school lunchtime programs were quickly stopped. But when it's time to take blame this admin gladly passes all blame to Obama. They are actually going back 11 years to 2009 to explain why there are not enough ventilators.

Even Trump's sudden "Fake Outrage" tweets 2 days ago at GM for all about shifting blame.

Yesterday at his press conference Trump clearly was saying nurses are stealing masks at a New York hospital. This coward can't take blame for anything.

That reporter quoted EXACTLY what he said to Hannity 4 days ago and he claimed it was "Fake News".

Trump sinks to a new low each day.
Sending broken ventilators to Cali, cancelling ventilator contract to produce large quantities, and accusing NY state health officials of stealing mask.

I say it so often, but what a dumb piece of sh!t.
the absolute worse person to be pres during this crisis.

Thank you Canada

He's a failed businessman who hosted a reality tv series and has no political experience. He's dangerously unqualified.

And that's not even going into how disturbed he is.

Yeah sure, growing pains.

Nothing to do with a poorly constructed roster, and a leadership group that was more interested in cherry-picking to chase down 100 point seasons. Nope. Just growing pains.

- Kooleus

A bit too heavy on the vitriol.

Imo cap roster structure imbalance is the biggest problem. I do agree about leadership not being good enough. I say this mostly due to there is not enough pride keeping the biscuit outta the basket.

The Leafs can trade any contract unlike just about any other team. They can easily fix any imbalance if they wanted too.

Their top players seem to only care about putting the biscuit in the basket.

Hopefully that changes with some maturity.

It is. That country is run so amazingly well. So safe (Yet they have more guns per capita than the U.S) . Fantastic health care and social structure.

And if they didn't put up points they'd be ripped for being so overpaid.

Remind me why we are supposed to be upset Matthews had 47 goals, 80 point sin 70 games?

The fact that he can't speak or write at a high school level and doesn't read, and is a severely personality-disturbed individual should have given some pause.

Why were the Leafs inconsistant???....not a mystery as far as I am concerned.

1. A younger roster. Young players have more up's and down's. They are still learning their way. Leads to inconsistency

2. No or little defensive structure. Defensive teams are more consistent than offensive teams. A good defensive team can play that way mostly every game. Offensive players and teams go through more of an ebb and flow

3. Injuries. And players playing out of their "comfort" slot. Especially on the back end. Sandin is good, but young. Be better with less minutes and face lesser opponent lines. With Muzzin and Reilly missing time many guys slotted "UP" to play against lines they are not equipped to play against. Leaf defense is thin. any injury will make it difficult. Heck, even if healthy the defense is not great....so injuries really took a toll.

There you have it. The 3 main reasons Leafs were inconsistent.

Agree & I’ll add too much expected too soon. The cap needs time to allow for key role players to be added.

I think this idsa the Leafs lack depth due to 40 milion on 4 players is rather lazy. The stats don't show this at all.

$$$ does not equal quality with supporting players.

Sorry, but Jay Beagle is uneccesarily overpaid on the Canucks. There's no need to pay 3 million to 4th liners.

It blows my mind that anyone can trust the guy when he goes on TV, says stuff, and then two days later says on TV that he didn't say the stuff that he had said on TV the other day.

His blatant lies are so egregious that anybody that trusts the guy are fooling themselves and completely disconnected from reality, or have a penchant for pathological liars.

That's what is so frustrating. Trump takes no responsibility for any of his actions, yet there is still a large group of people that blindly support him.

I feel sorry for people that fall for his crap. But he knows they will, so he keeps doing his thing. He only cares for his base and will try to keep them no matter what.

He's getting away with WAY too much because people have become use to it. He said nurses are stealing medical supplies yesterday. Jesus. He told areporter he did not say something when she read his quote from Hannity that was shown live 4 days earlier. His comment about governors need to thank him to get supplies is shocking. Florida is getting everything they want because their gov. blows Trump

Funny, looking at all the mention s in Ek's column about 1 free buyout showsa how the Leafs cap situation is pretty damn good.

It's really hard to pick a contract to buyout.

Phil Kessel?

If I absolutely had to pick one... it'd be between Kerfoot and Johnsson

Kerfoot and Johnsson can be traded though. Leafs don't have a horrible contract like most teams they'd love to ditch.

When a 22 year old franchise C gets named as your worst contract you are doing something right.
