Bullpoop. Delorme couldn’t pull McDavid out of a crowd of ECHL players.

You’re using the province as a source? might as well use Fox News.

I'd like Brackett to stay and Benning to leave. But as a wise philosopher once said, it is what it is.
- RealityChecker

I think Brackett is a bit overrated (not that JB is a genius by any stretch of the imagination) and we would be fine without him. That said, I think the hockey management group is getting stale and could use a bit of a shakeup, so Brackett leaving might be a good thing to get new blood in.

I wish Brackett was the GM and Benning was turfed but they’ll be ok without him, I’m sure his genius has rubbed off on his staff and they’ll be fine.

Al Jazeera is my go-to for world news. Fox is as biased as CNN, it’s hard to get unbiased news in North America.

You wish an amateur scout was GM? Fat and stupid. Turf them both.

That's the kind of thing out there that gets into their heads. Bracket wants more of a reward to his role and JB isn't pumping his tires. But what team is going to open up to Bracket now? Even the bad ones like Detroit have the management they want in place.

He’s “Director of Amateur Scouting”, but yes, I wish he was the GM over Benning, who himself was an amateur scout before becoming an assistant GM.

He’s the epitome of the proverbial ‘old boys club’, probably the worst scout in league history but he was a warrior for the Canucks so he gets to stay #50yrsnocup

I like Al Jazeera too but don’t think for a second it doesn’t have an agenda. It’s owned by the government of Qatar. Qatar is run by a monarchical regime that’s been fighting with SA for a long time. They do not like each other at all.

The Thani family uses Al Jazeera to push their influence throughout the world.

Moral of the story, read everything and form your own opinions.

Halfway through he movie but I have a feeling the dude in the ice cream truck was Charles Manson at the Polanski house and there is your violent ending.

That Blonde must be Sharon Tate. And there it is confirmed at the movie theater .

Brackett is probably overrated but come on, there's no way you truly believe that he's the one that should be leaving for a shakeup. And if he's leaving it's likely because he and Benning don't see eye-to-eye so they're most likely going to bring in a "yes man" who will agree JB and Weisbrod on most things. Plus it was reported last year that the Canucks office is understaffed compared to most front offices around the NHL, losing Brackett doesn't help there. Bring on another voice to add to the group, sure, I'm on board with that.

Or just let Weisbrod go

I'd imagine Weisbrod getting fired would look something like this:

It depends, JB and Weisbrod clearly have a vision and a plan they want to execute, and you can argue whether the vision and plan is a good one. Having "yes men" is bad because you get confirmation bias and a lack of a real sounding board that can give you an objective opinion. That said, having someone clearly not on the same page as the rest is just as bad because now you've got a power struggle to deal with.

Again, in the end, losing Brackett isn't going to make or break the team and if it did, he would have been resigned by now. By potentially losing him, you get a chance to really look at your hockey operations department, and maybe add a few new faces and/or change things up if it's not working well. Might give JB the opportunity to use the money that might have been spent on Brackett to hire more people to bring staffing levels up closer to other team's levels.
