Agree as the season had gone he got better plus imo needs to play in the top 6 to be affective. So maybe nylander dach kane next year to try. Kid has all the tools and skill to be a dynamic player its up to him to put the work in. One last thing how much of his development was screwed up by Buffalo.

There’s definitely talent there, but talent doesn’t always transpire into success. He’s only twenty two, I’m willing to have some patience and Im sure the Hawks are as well. He can skate and has a good shot, just needs to go into dirty areas and battle a bit more often. One thing is for sure, you cannot teach talent and talent he has. Nylander is a top nine player and that’s where he belongs, he needs to play with other talented players and not on the 4th line.

I'm rooting for his success as much as anyone however with as much rope as he's been given and now a long break if he doesn't come out looking confident and more consistent then by game 10 he's going down to Rockford. I already put Stan and the coaches on notice

That simply is not true. Do I wish he would drop his shoulder and drive the net once in awhie? Sure, but to say he doesn't engage is far from reality.

He will always be views through the lens of being traded for Joki. He doesn't " float". He is indecisive at times but that i attribute to a lack of confidence in his assignments during those moments.

The good thing about having Colliton as coach is he will communicate with all the players as needed and not in a mean spirited way. I'm not sure what coaches in Buffalo were like but it seems like a lot of coaches don't communicate to players individually as much as Colliton does. So I think that is in our favor.

I agree .I am human and have at times lost patience with Nylander play ,but seeing how his brother has produced lately ,after a crucifixion at the hands of low life leaf fans .Well William has been just terrific this year in all aspects of his game ,and much better then Alex ,they are two years apart . Willy been in much better environment for success then our Nylander also . Long story short, bloods thicker then water , and I think with the right players around him the DNA will kick in ,and in couple years we will have a very solid top 6 player
