The problem will become how you loosen up with restrictions without creating the huge 2nd wave. They're going to have to curb international and domestic travel until the entire world has a handle on the situation.

Agreed. Things are looking better but everyone still has to stay vigilant.

City of Vancouver just suspended Tim Hortons license for over the limit crowds.

They should have rolled up the rim

Tim Horton franchises are independently owned, the store owners each decide on how they manage this thing I would think?

I’m not in the medical field but I wouldn’t say it’s out of the question to keep the status quo until the end of April.

As much as this sucks we're slowly getting used to it. I'm going to guess we'll have seen the worst by then.

I think that's reasonable. I think it was you or VHG that was thinking mother's Day as a day to re-evaluate. So that time frame seems to be good give or take a few days.

Fair to say I'll be banned before then.

Yup, just as I thought, it was one franchise “The Tim Hortons at 108 W Pender Street was found violating the provincial health orders limiting the number of people allowed in a restaurant leading to the suspension on Thursday.”.

Sorry I just read your initial message as it was all franchises.

It's exploding right now in Montreal, not sure if it has to do with a lack of testing beforehand. I'm just taking the rest of this week off and having a staycation next week. Will reassess at that time.

It's really spectacular to watch the financial might south of the border during a time of crisis. I just wish they'd exercised more caution to begin with.

Canada sent millions of masks along with 16 tonnes of medical supplies to China.... Apparently we have enough according to this government...

I've read that NYC could become worse than Wuhan. You're right that controlling travel will be key.

We actually planted our first indoor seeds today, last frost here is mid-May. The kids have been at home for 2 weeks straight, we're all ready to kill each other.

Tomorrow i'm supposed to go to a co-worker's place as he's boiling his maple sap. We'll have to observe from a distance.

It's out of control there but was just reading they've basically secured entire hotels to use as makeshift hospitals and others to house medical staff.

Alarms started going off for me about the US a couple of weeks ago because they simply weren't testing. Finally got my dad back from Florida a few days ago.

I've been procrastinating in getting the backyard garden ready for planting. The GF keeps bugging me.
Now the forecast calls for rain for the next week. Oh well. 😁

Such a huge densely populated cited, not surprising. When I worked in Chengdu China the locals said it’s not a big city, there’s 16 million people there

I've been watching the number of deaths daily for a couple of weeks. It's scary how much it grows daily.

Travel anywhere and you'll see how "empty" our city and country really is. We are fortunate (and not just regarding the virus.)

Yes a lot of cities here look like ghost towns, my wife and I just watched Q13 news in Seattle and their downtown is the same, ghost town.
