...and forever after that my friends and I called it "when Valk went rank!". Man, '80's hockey was violent and beautiful.

Yes indeed, but careful some people don't like violence in hockey, there should be no place for it.

That led me down a rabbit hole of Brashear / Domi fights. Amazing how good Domi was at blocking punches with his skull.

I first saw Domi in the 1989 Memorial Cup, he fought Kevin Kaminski and holy fuk it was one of the best fights ever.

I don't believe the stories the Atlantic tells. Definitely one sided.

Not gonna disagree that MBS could get shivved by his family but he's BFFs with Jared Kushner. The Americans are relying on strong support from SA (read MBS) to establish their middle East (peace) plan. Will that make a difference to his longevity or in this fight with Russia? I'm not prepared to go there but the US will try to keep MBS in power behind the scenes.
- RealityChecker

Get shivved. That’s a funny image. Like Goodfellas but in robes.

There is a long list of American puppet dictators that ended poorly. Saddam Hussein being a good recent example. Some great examples in South America too.

I got a feeling SA will end up similar.

Russia’s no different. They’ve (frank)ed up too many times to count.

NO SPORTS! BUT... if you dump a bag of Skittles in the toilet, squint your eyes and flush it's almost like watching a NASCAR race!
- VanHockeyGuy

Just google marble racing. The lack of sports actually makes these races kind of mesmerizing. There’s so many on YouTube.

They can’t all be as impartial as Fox News.

With India’s population, density, and mass poverty you don’t need to be an investigative journalist to figure it out.

I like the Atlantic. I think they do a good job with their investigations. I like Democracy Now as well, although they can be a bit fanatical. BBC is still a trustworthy MSM outlet.

I don’t do CNN or HuffPost. They’ve lost their way.

Where are you going? Others? Hard to find decent reporting anymore.

You mean like most countries did in order to try and contain a global outbreak?

And where did they all end up? Italy, Spain... Were they part of that group?

So good. The gimp scene is a bit much but that’s Tarantino. Loves to shock his audience but sometimes he misses the mark.

Still think Django is his best.

I still like the NY Times. I source news from everywhere but I find it really important to have reasonable data to back opinion.

They are. They're crushing Russia.
- Marwood

Russia can survive at these prices for another 5 years. They paid off all their debts and have plenty of reserves. Russia is laughing. They started the price war.

Italy was one of the first countries to help China, and China in return is helping Italy. It's kind of how the world is supposed to work in this day and age.

Others think it's better to just turn a blind eye to a situation like this until you no longer can then resort to shifting blame.
