I forgot who said it, but someone said (rightly) that Botterill may as well just fire himself if he did that. "Sorry I wasted $72 million. Oops"

Botts’ job is done for the most part, he bridged the gap and is the scapegoat we’ll be thanking 10 years from now, hire Mike Futa and build us a dynasty.

Sure you could, but you’d be retaining salary for 8 years instead of 3.
- Pegullaville

you wouldn't need to retain to move him. you'd take a hair cut in trade value, but even in really bad year by his standards he was still around top 50 in goals/60 5v5 and top 25 in xg/60

Someone would absorb his full contract to buy low in terms of assets and put him with a high end centre

Wishful thinking, maybe you’re right but I doubt anyone touches that deal right now.

I strongly disagree. One of the worst contracts in the league. With 7 years left
Nobody is taking that whole contract.

Its not andrew ladd or milan lucic bad. All his underlying numbers show the on ice impact is still there.

Pegula- any recommended stocks or etfs for tomorrow? I’m thinking of investing $500.

Tough to say. There was higher sell volume today then buy volume.

The next week will show us whether or not the past week was just a bear market rally leading to another plunge to the bottom, or if the last week was the start of a new bull market.

I’m still cautious and in cash for the most part.

It really depends on your time horizon really and how much risk your willing to take on.

Lol. You would need to retain and give up a 1st for someone to be dumb enough to take skinners contract off our hands

It would be interesting if Botts offered him up for free.
Take the remaining contract and he is yours, nothing due back.

Not sure anyone would bite, in fact I'd be very surprised if anyone ventured to call.

I'm with Rivet from The Instigators today when he said Lazar can do what Larsson does.
Maybe not immediately, but he can grow into it.
Also agree with him that I'd pass on bringing back
Girgs
Larry
Vesey
Frolik
Simmonds

I just need a different vibe on this team. So tired of watching these slow and older vets that the team has lost so well with.
Bring in some new and younger talent that can grow together even if it takes a good portion of the year for them to gel.

Cracks me up when ppl wanna replace guys that have good in their roles
It’s just a bad idea

All i heard about was how replaceable ROR was from MANY, MANY on here

Someone remind me how that’s going?

Now u guys wanna ship out another guy who’s been doing a really good job as our defensive center “bc he’s been here for all the losing”

That’s just such a horrible reason to move on from Larsson & Girgs

You want to keep good players, period
It’s that simple

I honestly don’t want to split up the LOG line

Lines 1 and 4 are actually good.

Lines 2 and 3 need some tweaks this summer
