the fact that there is a right and left media is just stupid...
term limits, remove lobbyists and make the people spend like 80% of their time with the people they represent instead of living in DC full time.. any two of those would go a long way at helping things - SabresFaninIndiana
Love this idea. May I add two more....
1- the Byrd rule part one... anyone you go to vote for has a recent picture of them when you go to vote.
Why- back when Robert Byrd was still alive it was hard to find a recent picture of him because he was literally the crypt keeper. Pictures you’d find were from the 70s.
2- the Byrd rule part two. I’d like an objective measurement each time they are in the ballot. Say a wonderlic test for them. And I can see the cumulative scores for each election they are in.
Why... you can’t tell me someone that got into office in 1959 has the same mental capacity in 2010 when he finally died in office. Yes, 51 years in office...
Yes, as voters we should be more informed. But we just don’t do it. Pull the handle for the same people or the same “side”. Let’s try and be a little more informed in the booth. Maybe it changes a mind or two.
We know we will never see term limits outside of an Article 5 convention. Even though it’s probably one issue you could get 90% of the population on board with! |

If Tampa is still interested in Risto I'd begin a package that includes him and buffalo's 2021 1st for Cirelli - Michael Pachla
It would cost much more than that, and I doubt Tampa would accept Ristolainen as the core piece in a trade for Cirelli.
I bet Tampa would start the ask with Cozens, and go from there. |

Blanket statement that seems to be prevalent on the board. I am curious why you doubt Tampa would do this? I do not know so I am asking for real. |

I'll throw in Laaksonen. Cozens is off limits for me right now. |

You got Wawa's down there? Are they the greatest Convenience Store or what? Wawa by me had lines on the floor so you knew how close to stand to person in line in front of you. Same with Wegmans. I'd be fine making social distancing best practices permanent as well. |

Why? We devalue our guys and overvalue others. I do not understand, truly. What are the trade parameters? |

His starts are so-so. His underlying numbers are atrocious. Brian Burke was on a couple of months ago saying he had a deal in place for Ristolainen but his analytics department convinced him it was a very bad idea. And Ristolainen is the physical embodiment of the type of player Brian Burke wanted. When a guy like that defers to his analytics department, you know you have a problem. |

I don't know if Tampa is interested at all since Yzerman left. Not sure if he is still interested, but Detroit does have some good young forwards. They're kind of thin at center though. Perhaps they would work a deal around if they think Zadina will take over 1RW. |

I'm not trading Joker for that.
Insert Montour,
Dump all those useless picks that almost a round lower due to where TO finishes, especially with a better blueline
ask for Kapanen. - IonSabres
Kapanen is worse, or rather had a worse year, than johnsson but It'd still be a no for me too.
Last 20-30 games of the season Krueger leaned heavily on Joker and he performed relatively well. Given his age, Im inclined to bet big on him handling big minutes 5v5 in the future. It's a bit of risk, given the way the Sabres played but it's a gamble they should take.
Doesn't make him untouchable, but also the reward portion of this risk is higher than whatever ceiling johnsson has. Even more so if they can get Jokiharju to take a long term deal with a favourable cap hit. |

Dahlin and Joker are the future top pairing for the next decade. They’re our Keith/Seabrook. |
