Had a couple of thoughts about the amnesty buyouts that have been rumored to be coming if there is no increase in the cap due to the pandemic.
First, it would be nice to see a blog on this topic with predictions for each team's buyout and possibly the value of said players. For example, if we bought out Okposo what would his worth be to another team.
Second, not all teams really need a buyout. Should there be an incentive for not using the amnesty buyout? Perhaps a compensatory pick in the 2nd? Maybe take away a 3rd if you use the amnesty? One way or another I think a team that has been responsible with their cap should get something back rather than rewarding just the teams that put themselves in cap trouble.
Lastly, if teams are able to get rid of a bad signing, should a player get to renegotiate a new deal? I don't know how you would limit it to one per team, but I am sure that there are several players that regret signing the deal that they did. MacKinnon, for example, signed 4 years ago for $6.3m and has 3 more years at that salary. He arguably should be making $9m+.

Just a couple ideas to discuss.
