Unfortunately it was definitely due to this.

I work (worked) for the US DOE in a branch servicing and collecting student loans and our contract was indefinitely suspended.

We were desperately staffing up literally three weeks ago

Broncos don't have half the targets the Bucs do. Sutton is good, but he's not even as good as Evans, let alone Godwin, plus the TEs in Tampa are better than the Broncos'.

Sutton was a Pro Bowl alternate and played 3/4 of a season catching passes from Flacco/Allen in a run heavy offence. He is going to explode this year.

Even before adding Gordon the Broncos had Lindsay and Freeman at RB.

The Broncos need to add another option opposite Sutton of course and will have chances to do so in the draft.

Will the Bucs field a top 10 defence this year like the Broncos will ?

Denver has quietly had a good offseason so far and have put themselves in a position to compete for a wild card spot.
