I think the best years for Hasek were with Buffalo and I won’t dispute that he may have been their best player at that time. That doesn’t mean if he was in Edmonton when Gretzky was there that he would have made any difference above what Fuhr did. Remember Fuhr actually had around 14 points one year and has quite a few career points as a goalie. Oilers relied on him to handle the puck and it played into their system. That’s the point I see as a big difference in who could play in today’s NHL.

Few guys are good at handling the puck back there most are not.

Holy S, you're a Canadian Anal Invading Millionaire! LOL! She must've been calling you Daddy Warbucks. Hopefully you at least opened her door when you picked her up in your Ford Fiesta.

It was a 40% return on investment. So while the markets went down 40%, I made 40%. So in essence you could have taken your portfolio amount on January 15th and multiplied it by 1.4

Just because I don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars in a 401K being out of school for less than 2 years you’re going to discriminate against that return ?

It’s a 2017 Altima, I enjoy it. Only the 3ER would care about measuring stick lengths on the amount of dollars used to purchase a depreciating asset.

I don’t even know rap existed anymore. It should be called mumbling or Mush Mouth.

All kidding aside all music evolves. It’s ignorant to think otherwise.

Stylistically, Tim Thomas was the closest to Dom - other than Brodeur - in the recent past. True or false?

What I'm saying is that a slightly modified style from Dom would very much work now. The size thing is secondary.

I understand goalies are basically all 6'5" now but dom could make it work at 6'1"

Yeah- I mentioned that a few pages back as well. I think Dom today would look like a mix between prime Quick and Tim Thomas. His style would be a little bit different than how it was in '90s but that freakish athleticism would still translate imo

You think Miller had nothing around him? those teams were 10 fold better offensively than what Dom took to the SCF

Neither are really true. Just because you mostly listen to garbage it doesn't mean there's no rock or punk out there.
Millennials and their love of reality shows like the Voice and American Idol are ruining the music industry. Simon Cowell just hires a bunch of "song writers " and then finds some good looking "talent" to perform it. Doesn't mean it's any good.

I never said he was "dom" and that was a different time back in those days

Miller had no help after Danny, Drury left more and more talent left and he just kept us in the game

Idk he's just moving from prospect to suspect for me. Theres also no room for him here. If he's not going to be on the Sabres next year I'd deal him in a package for something we need.
- jcragcrumple

If there's no room for him in Buffalo next year, that's a good thing.

Borgen is waivers-exempt which mean they can call him up and ease him into the nhl game. Which is a good thing.

And he'll be on the final year of his entry-level deal at the end of next year meaning he could be one of those "value contracts" everyone wants. That's another good thing.

And, if i'm not mistaken, he'll be automatically protected in the expansion draft. Which is also good.

There's no need to rush him and there's no need to trade him thus creating a gap in the prospect depth chart.

imo, of course

Those teams after Driere left were still way better offensively than anything Dom had for the most part.
