Tim Thomas played a modified style sort of like dom and was very successful with it. Unfortunately his brain broke. Dom was a freak athlete. His style might have been a little different if he played now, but he would still be great.

He was an athletic butterfly goalie. Realistically he and Brodeur were the last of that style, and eventually Marty switched to a hybrid butterfly style, which is what Dom would have been.
