New iPhones are $1200. A lot of people buy them the price just gets rolled into your monthly bill. |

I got a free hardware upgrade to join my corporate plan at work and managed to save money on the plan too. It was a no brainer.
Free phone and spend less a month on the phone plan.

I'm sure they get a volume discount. But someone still pays, eventually the cost gets passed down the line to the people at the bottom, the consumer. |

It got crushed last week, however it may not be a bad buy though since it’s extremely cheap. Tough to say though can’t say I have ever really looked at the copper market. |

It’s volatile. It’s a play for a few months down the road. Still more to drop before this is over. There will be a small momentum rebound when this relief package gets enacted, then the underlying institutional economic issues will drive the market back down toward 15 or 16 as we get into May and June.
As we move closer to Election Day there will be more confidence - no matter who wins, and buy time will be September. |

The rebound looks very likely, futures are up big time tonight. I took profits on the inverse again today but still have enough of a position that I’m going to get a small pee pee slap tmo depending on if the markets remain the way they are projected to tomorrow.
Should be good news for everyone’s 401K’s though for tomorrow at least. |

It was a matter of time before I lost one. I sold most of the position but should of sold it all. Oh well you win some and lose some.
What I’ll have to decide though tomorrow is wether or not to hold it until the end of the week and expect markets to decline again or not. It’s not a loss till you sell I guess right. |

It’s all gambling. Markets run on fear and greed. I can’t find any fundamentals that show why businesses should lose 50% of their stock values in a month and a half.
Tesla can’t even match the criteria to trade on the S&P 500 yet was trading at over $900 a share at one point. It’s still trading at $437 after this poop show. |

Nobody. Apple can afford to make the phones here and sell them for the same price. - c1067
So you're going to somehow mandate a massive company like Apple make...less profit? |

I believe, and please correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, as the Fed flooded the market with dollars, the value of the dollar went down. If I'm not mistaken its a precursor to inflation and gold is a stable investment in those situations.
Again, I'm not 100% sure so anyone who knows more, feel free to chime in - Michael Pachla
Right. As the Fed prints Fiat money or just creates money in the form of taking out loans (adding to the deficit) the purchasing power of the existing money in the economy goes down, i.e. inflation. Gold is a commodity that has a limited supply, so traditionally it will behave in the market according to the law of supply and demand.
For example: If the economy has 1 Billion dollars circulating in total and Gold is worth 1,000 per ounce, then if the Fed adds an additional 1 Billion dollars to the economy, making the total economy worth 2 billion dollars, than you should see Gold adjust and become worth 2,000 per ounce.
Buying Gold during times of inflation or recession won't necessarily make you a profit, but what it will do is act as a vessel that will hold your money's value and protect it from inflation. |

Gold is up 91 points so far this morning, on track for its biggest intra day ever if this holds. The previous intraday high was 80 points which was also set recently.
Missed the boat on that one. |
