You realize you’re having a conversation about marginal revenue with the guy who has cried about the Skinner deal 3 months before it was even signed right ?

Every player has a value. If Larsson wants term and big dollars then let him walk, I could say the same thing about 95% of this roster.

Larry at a proper cap hit though provides a huge value to the composition of the “team”.

- Pegullaville

Marginal Value I believe is the best operative term here.
Marginal Revenue pertains to additional monies made from another unit of production.
We as fans don't give 2 poops about how much more revenue Eichel drives into Pegula's coffers.

At the right Cap hit, absolutely. About a week ago, some were promoting the idea of bringing back Larsson and Girgs for $3m per. At $2.5m both are overpaid.

Ok, I'm done with the convo... going in repetive circles now

I agree 100% with your argument Ion.

We need more value contracts, I have no idea what Larry’s agent will demand, I’m just saying if he walks we will have another critical role to fill.

it was so much better then the force awakens

and last jedi flat out sucked

I have rise of skywalker either 5th or 6th in my ranking depending on my mode for attack of the clones

I am doing my rankings on the 9 star wars movies as I have rogue one better then most of the 9 and solo somewhere around the rise of skywalker

- homiedclown

Meh, I liked them all (although Jar Jar just about ruined Phantom Menace for me). But I will agree....Rogue One ranks VERY high on my list too. Not going to say any of them "sucked" though. Like I said, I liked them all. I guess I'm easily entertained ? Or a moron ? Whatevs.

You do realize that Girgs has outscored Larsson every single year in their careers, right?
Just because your football team is hoping an XFL quarterback can give them some relevance doesn't mean you have to bring your bad hockey takes here.

- adambuffalo

Larsson is a legit defensive 4C. If he possessed any kind of offense he would be a 3C on any team that didn't have a 2C in that spot. You just can't have him playing 15 minutes a night and contributing 4th line numbers. I'd take Larsson over Girgensons every day.

I think Larsson is a fine 3C if he’s playing with some shooting talent.

He’s a horrible goal scorer. He’s actually not awful at playmaking.

If he was with two capable top 9 wingers he’d be a 8-22-30 player who’s above average on D and that’s valuable for a 3C

Edit- he actually could be a good center for Olofsson if they didn’t give them 80% D zone starts

He’d cover up for VO defensive deficiencies and be able to allow him some room

The problem with him re: offense, is he got literally half his points in just 4 games, 7 of those points in 3 games over a 5 game span from 12/2-12/10. The team was a decent 7-4-2 in games he got on the board. I'm just very hesitant to say he's anything more than a good defensive 4C.

On a contender he’s probably more of a 4. On an average team he’s good enough on D to play enough minutes

I was thinking of buying some SAVE spirit airlines or F Ford/GM stock... any suggestions?

They are cheap and have potential to go up.

Or would it be better to buy an ETF ??

You THINK we have guys that can take his place
Larsson & Girgs have worked very well together
There’s no telling what removing one of them will do to the effectiveness of that line
And since it’s a VERY important role
And they aren’t gonna cost much
I can’t see any reason at all why anyone would wanna take the chance

- jdfitz77

At the right contract sure bring back Girgs, anything over 2 mill is to much, it's time we have players coming up on there ELC, it will help manage the cap.

Good post.
Lazar would be fine there. It took Larsson and Girgs 7 years to develop into that role. I'm quite happy to give Lazar a shot there with ample time to develop in that role.

Unfortunately, Okposo's anchor of a contract dictates savings in the bottom of the roster are required so they don't have to sacrifice in the middle. Skinner's production/contract is another concerning issue that requires savings at other positions as well. It is just a fact in a Cap league.

In all fairness, it took Lazar just as long to develop into that role. He just did it with three different teams.

Albert brier had a nice article about Brady ..... but most importantly the Diggs trade.

He mentioned that moving up from 22 to 18 would cost us the same package we sent for diggs and not even guarantee that is low enough to draft an elite WR prospect.

So when you think about it like that. Diggs is a great move

Yup, read a similar post the day after the trade and posted it that same day here as my favorite take on the trade. It's a very good perspective.
