I watched SE7EN earlier today in fish room
about to go watch money ball while boxing orders for tomorrow
for those waiting for the walking dead tonight, it's a snoozer - homiedclown
I've heard negative comments about the show ever since it came on the air ... and every season I think to myself "what the hell are they talking about ?". I'm sure I'll like tonight's episode, just like I've loved every episode so far.

Haha I am not.
My brother moved to Tampa 2 years ago. The more I visit that area the harder it gets to leave. |

You don't need stats to know that, in terms of raw talent, olofsson has a good shot. But the numbers show that the shot isn't turning into goals above expected. That's usually because at 5v5 you have less time and space. so you either need a ridiculous shot or you need to create more time and space for yourself. - Michael Ghofrani
He has a great shot. When he has space to unleash it, it's deadly. The thing for him is finding that space. For his first season in the NHL, he's made great progress |

Sheary with Crosby >>>>>>>>> Olofsson with Eichel
Imagine worrying about giving Sheary a giant contract down the road - sbroads24
Are you really comparing Sheary with olofsson?
If you asked every coach in the league which they'd gameplan more for in those duos, Olofsson would come out on top by a landslide, if not unanimously. |

Nice to see that GMJB is actively signing college FA's...Is it too much to ask to try and sign a few of these prospects ? |

Based on what exactly? I’m so confused as to what Olofsson did this year that has people thinking he’s this good.

It got lost in all the virus talk but the Biro signing is interesting. A down senior year by his standards but last year he dominated the NCAA |

I need some clarification. Are analytics just numbers used when it supports an argument or are they used fairly for all players and situations. It seems these analytics are the same as a good accountant making things look good or bad for me. I like to slam little Dubas who will live and die by analytics and if I were him instead of planning a parade I’d be planning a funeral.
My belief is analytics are seriously flawed and wouldn’t be the high percentage rating when making decisions. |

And if you really want your mind blown, Sheary, while it being a smaller sample, was better with Eichel at EV than Olofsson has been - sbroads24
All this talk of Olofsson. He is not great, but scores at 0.80 PPG rate while adjusting to NHL in only 2nd year on NA-sized rink. Pretty, pretty good.
I'LL TAKE IT!!!
WHERE CAN I GET ANOTHER!
People want to sign Larson to 3x$3m but balk at 5 x ~$4.75 for a guy on pace for 60 pts in 82 games.
Can't make this stuff up
C'mon man.
He looks good with Johansson and Kahun as well. Maybe if Jason Botchitall could get a 2C he would produce as well there while Skinner returns to a 40 goal scorer with Jack.

I mean, slam him all you want, but pre analytics leafs were so hysterically bad they gave way to the analytics community in the first place.
There are people working for NHL teams right now who made their name carving up the leafs pre Dubas. |

Larsson was more valuable to the Sabres this year than Olofsson and that’s not even debatable |

Try air fried breaded Cod from Costco. I’m telling you these are the best I’ve had. A saleswoman told me to try them after I bought my air fryer there. |

Analytics are in the relative early stages and will be refined over time, and the new player tracking technology ready to be introduced will add a layer of data that can offer further analysis.
It will continue to grow and be more useful.
That said, there is more to the game, aspects that are difficult to measure are of equal import....
Heart, compete, truculence, skills ... those need to be uncovered as well. The mental traits, I believe are real difference makers. |
