Brit's told not to go to Pub's or Club's, that's going to go over well.

Unless reinstated Amnesty or Compliance buyouts don't exist, they were only following work stoppages.

I am pretty sure that is what everyone in here (except you ) are referring to Compliance buyout.

So, technically, a "pause" doesn't count?

They don't exist so why are we discussing a compliance buyout when they don't exist? There's normal buyouts and that's it.

Don't know, but as of right now there's no such active thing as a "compliance buyout". The last couple times there were major resets in the cap number, if a pause causes the cap to go down three million I'm not sure they'd reinstate compliance buyouts....but that would certainly help the Canucks.

If the cap only drops three million, a number I've read, I don't think they'd reinstate compliance buyouts.

If you send Eriksson to the minors he may just want to terminate his contract, best case scenario.

They do exist, as they've had them before, they just happen under rare circumstances. Such as a long delay in the season, with a cap decline.

Not saying they're going to happen, but it's a possibility if the cap drops because of this.

You have the reading skills of a chimp.

People here are hoping for and talking about compliance buyout.

Everyone and I mean everyone know there is no advantage to buying out Loui .

Sounds like Flames fantasy to get past the Canucks. If the season is cancelled everything gets bumped up another year.

The cap will probably get frozen if it doesn't go up. NHL for stability reasons, to keep teams competitive, may also introduce no cap penalty buyouts. Many teams were making moves with the knowledge of the cap going up.

If anything, the market on contracts will take a dive. Probably more short term deals to make to get through the down times. So its more likely that all 3 Canucks UFA's will get signed now.

I don't know how the league plans on sorting the shutdown or implications because of shutting down, but the above seems plausible.

Unless the cap drops 20 million (extremely unlikely) I think that's false hope, that's what I'm saying.

Just a thought for discussion......if there is some sort of weird playoff format enabled and the Canucks go on a run and win it all, would it be tainted with an **, or would the masses here be content with a so-called " championship"?

Oh I think it'll drop, but not significantly as the season was almost done with only a month left. Wishful thinking is all I'm saying. But it'd be nice for our poor management team and stupid owner

I read this morning of a 24 team playoffs where you play your way in, total BS. They should go off percentages.

It is predicted the loss of Revenue would be 380 mil if the season is over. I think this one time situation to allow owners to try and recoup some revenues would be fitting.

NHL players are still getting paid and now it seems AHL players will be paid in full also.

I don't have a problem with 24 teams for one year.
