Canucks will keep this years pick ...cap will go down and they will lose all 3 of marky Toffoli and Taney ...they will miss playoffs next year and the devils will win the lotto with Vancouver’s pick

This board will collapse

Not that it’s that important in the grand scheme of things but if the season doesn’t get finished there will be a lot of trades with conditional picks that will need to be figured out lol

If the cap drops, they'd be forced to I would think. Teams already operating at and over the cap, and it would screw them. FAs wouldn't make nearly as much money, trades would get crazy to free up space...

Sounds like Flames fantasy to get past the Canucks. If the season is cancelled everything gets bumped up another year.

The cap will probably get frozen if it doesn't go up. NHL for stability reasons, to keep teams competitive, may also introduce no cap penalty buyouts. Many teams were making moves with the knowledge of the cap going up.

If anything, the market on contracts will take a dive. Probably more short term deals to make to get through the down times. So its more likely that all 3 Canucks UFA's will get signed now.

They have escrow for that. Its more likely a cap freeze and new contracts will be a lot less.

Didn't they do a combination after the last shutdown due to lockout?

Reduced the salary cap, existing player salaries were rolled back a proportionate percentage and teams were granted a limited number of compliance buyouts.

You save more by sending him the AHL than with a buyout with the way his contract is structured in mostly bonus's.....I think?

That would be a regular buy out. Compliance buy out do not affect Cap Hits

Mackenzie Blackwood, who's 23 and playing for them the past two years, and a bunch of prospects they've drafted.

I read today that the death rate has been going down. It went from over 4 % a month ago to 1.89 % yesterday .

It has been a steady decline every day . Self isolation and awareness (education) seem to be slowing it down.

Unless reinstated Amnesty or Compliance buyouts don't exist, they were only following work stoppages.
