If they cancel everything it should be like the last time no SC was awarded. Its like the season never happened. All teams get weighted equally for a draft probably held by teleconference. So the conditional 1st moves up one year.

Though they might go for an abbreviated playoffs in June/July. Still hard to imagine that with crowds as things are just going to get worse here for the next two months.

The reports from Venice today is there is no mass garbage amounts , the waters in the canal are starting to clean up.

There was one death in NYC on Saturday from an 82 year old man that was known virus related.

One person on a Westjet flight from Kelowna to Vancouver tested positive. One Canuck employee tested positive and is doing well in isolation. They had no contact with any of the Canucks.

Giving this planet a 4 week break from humans seems to be doing more good than bad.

I talked to my daughter for an hour on the phone yesterday instead of the usual 5 minute weekly texts. I will get to spend the next two weeks with my wife .

So far I see a lot more good than bad coming from this.

Freidman said Bettman wants to have the playoffs and that makes sense. I heard it will be 4 to 8 week shutdown so the rest of the season should be cancelled.

Freidman also suggested they are looking at a 24 team playoff so more teams can recoup some revenue. They are looking into availability into arenas now for July and August.

They haven't really touched on the cap or draft at this time but you can bet it will be something different.
