Thank you Captain. I watched it yesterday... the point is why are we blaming goal tending? We all can see the problem. The same problem for a decade. This team can’t play defense. It doesn’t have the personnel to do so, nor does it have the system structure...

I always thought Reimer was a good enough goalie - but never a top5-10 NHL starter.
Same for Freddy.
Imo people were underestimating Reimer and overvalueing Andersen (even quite a few fans saying that "Anaheim traded the wrong goalie").

Yes. I agree. Freddy is not a top 5 goalie. Maybe between 10-15? I just hope we dont resign him for huge money when his contract is up... big mistake

You know, we all know the game. Does anyone think it may be a combination of Young D, Injured D, Tending not to the standard we were used to, poor backup....etc

Many things, along with the kids not playing with any jam, heart, gusto, want to win...etc for a while. Then add in Babs sucking out. The Leafs are not in a bad spot at the moment. But if you listen to the fans, we are about to start a rebuild.. cause we suck... actually they don't.

Depends on if Dermott can play the right side, which Dubas talked about recently, but hasn't really happened that much this year because the left side has been hit hard with injuries.

Liljegren + Dermott for a 2/3 RHD would be worth entertaining.

I really can't see him getting a big contract with the NHl going with a 1 and 1B goalie system. He simply does not have the stats or playoff success to ask for a massive big $ deal. I'm sure the media will try to scare Leaf fans into it though.
