Agreed, rulebook aside...blood was drawn so how is it not at least a double minor? (I know why, because the rulebook doesn't allow double minor for elbowing...why? because it specifically calls for a major in the case of blood/injury).

So... then ... is the Team submitting "tape" for review? Seems pretty quiet on that end.

No idea but I doubt it...what good does it do now? All this being said, had the rule been followed verbatim the Dadonov would have been out (match penalty) and he wouldn't have been there to have his stick snap in half in OT allowing us to gain possession so hockey gods took care of things in the end.
