Im sorry but Farabee or Frost can not replace jvr production at this point in their careers. Jvr is a wildcard player for me. Especially in the playoffs. He has the ability to get hot and be a difference maker.Farabee as of today brings nothing in terms of production. Either does Frost.

They got 5 goals tonight after he left the game. Even if the rookie duo-F's can't duplicate his production, you gotta go with the depth you got and expect others to keep producing.

They don’t have too....but too me both guys have proven they can play at this level....can they score and produce like JVR yet ? No but they are both going to produce more and more with experience...they may get the chance in sh9rt order.

No doubt, AV made the right choice to start with Moose tonight.

In AV I trust!

confirmed broken hand for Van Riemsdyk.
Watched the replay of that it was a soft wrist shot from like 10 feet away. Not like he got blasted by a slap shot. Unreal.

Would be typical to have injuries derail this run.

Farabee I’m sure will be called up. The rest of the team will have to take up the slack on the power play.
JVR has also made a number of nice plays setting up goals. Hopefully it’s a not to serious.

I thought Thompson was solid tonight.
- MJL

I had no problem with how he’s played. I haven’t disliked his game at all. He’s a good penalty killer and he has size.

The most underrated part of this team is the coach. He's done everything in the NHL except win the Cup. Has come very close twice. Having a credible, experienced guy behind the bench is huge.

Retread. Or so I was told.

Not from me you weren't. I was on board with the coaching hire. I wanted Quenneville, but was more than happy with Vigneault.

Right now he's the Jack Adams award winner imo.

Has there been any indication about the length of the recovery?

Well, if it’s any comfort as you said, at least he did get hit with 95 mph slap shot to the hand.

Obviously not ideal but we have the depth. Farabee will be back

I was more critical of the GM hire, but I must admit Fletcher has done a nice job. I wasn't one that was overly critical of the Hayes signing, Fletcher had informaton about Patrick at the time of the signing that fans didn't. Patrick's situation made signing Hayes imperative.

Grant has been very good. He's obviously not going to be putting up 2 points a game, but he's def a contributor on a good team. Was hoping for Farabee to replace Thompson, obviously that isn't happening now.

Boston is the class of the east. If not the league. It will be a real test.

I don’t know that I need to see much more. For awhile now they’ve shown very little variance in their game, especially in big ones. They are going to be a problem for teams this postseason. It’s time to dance. I’m sure they can compete with any team
