I'm assuming you mean as a 7th defenseman, but he's pretty much already being used in a limited role. He's averaging about 2 1/2 minutes less than every defenseman not named Dobson. NHL website has Greene playing less average TOI per game, but I think that's largely because he "played a game" against the Rangers but only took maybe two or three shifts and that's dragging his average down.

No complaints, I just don't think Boychuk is a particularly "good" defenseman any more. He's old, it happens.

No question about it. With age comes less speed and less agility. (Or so I've been told. ) On the other hand, Boychuk shows more grit than most of the rest of the team, blocking shots, etc. So he sets a good example for the young guys, and I wouldn't be looking to jettison him just yet.

Nice fix John. I like the idea of getting some picks back for Leddy including a #1 especially if the Isles are going to be more attractive to FA's. Including Leddy for Parise seems like a bad idea.
