Such a weird series of choices by Ehlers, limiting his ice time, saying no to the powerplay, and being centred by Cody Eakin like that

Look, Ehlers wasn't performing as well as he should have been in a top 6 role. We know the guy can be a superstar and I don't blame Maurice for switching it up. The bottom 6 were desperate for offense, and Ehlers has looked pretty good paired with Ras on a line.

I feel you pain regarding the PP tho, Ehlers should certainly be on the second unit.

You are correct. Lowry is terrible in any offensive situation. Great PK guy, but its painful to watch him snuff out any opportunities for offense. Copp has performed much better since being free'd. I see some comments about Ehlers at centre. Has he ever played down the middle? If he is decent in the faceoff circle it would certainly be something worth considering. The guy's skating and vision are elite level.

Is his vision elite? He is not a ‘set up’ guy, more of an individual threat. It’s the elite vision and play making that I am still hoping will emerge.

Ehlers has been the best Jets skater all year, and outproduces everyone
