I haven't felt the team would make the playoffs until we acquired TT.
That gave me some hope that we'd have the firepower to make the final playoff push when the games get tighter.
Then BB was injured...for the season.
Still was quietly optimistic.
Then Markstrom went down and I lost that optimism almost as quickly as I got it
Back to my original prediction.
We will miss the playoffs this year.
I still think the team will exceed expectations (clearly) and plenty of reasons to be pleased with the direction of the team. - dbot
I can't seem to find when JV hit the post yesterday because it isn't showing in highlights and is not a registered shot but it either ties the game or gives them the lead. Maricin hits the post and collects the rebound, pretty much the difference in the game right there.
Out hit the Leafs 20-10.
Leafs star player scored a goal and Van's didn't.
They lost a road game to a team that is equal to them in the standings.
Losing a 4-2 game with an EN on the road when your team is not playing very well. |

So, here's the deal.
Monday or Tuesday after practice, showers. All you guys in this post get to go in the locker room, and just pound a Canucks azz.

Believing in what a cup this year lol, they are showing they are not ready and I was just stating some facts. Changes will be coming this summer. - Bettmanhatesus
It really is a win win situation.
Lose and you get your first round pick. A portion of the people here keep repeating it is a strong draft. You are not going in there without a first second third.
Lose and it gives the Green haters a valid excuse to remove him.
Win and you make the playoffs .
I don't see a scenario that that hurts the club but I do see a lot of I told you so's coming one way or the other. |

This place would be dead if we all agreed . You need both sides or this would be choir practice. |

I'm okay either way with what happens with the 1st this year. I do enjoy the draft though, if we could somehow get at least a 2nd? |

Missing the playoffs at this point in time would be hard to do. Green would be fired immediately if they had a collapse that bad.
Minnesota/Winnipeg/Arizona would have to go streaking the rest of the season to knock Van out of a wild card. |

I hope they look at Domingue today see what they have. I think he has been good this year despite his number. Better than starting off down 2-0 in the first five minutes. |

If Van need up getting their first back this year. Unless someone really fell, i'd trade down. Later first and a 2nd or even a high 3rd. I like a few players that will be end of 2nd and high 3rd round picks. Going to be a lot of less than stellar first round picks made. |

The math isn't working in our favour. Even when Marky was healthy we were only 4-4-2 over his last ten. Aren't going to make it in playing .500 down the stretch. It's not all on Green of course as technically this really isn't PO roster. We could still make it if the right teams lose but it's not likely. |

Didn't Domingue go on an 11 game win streak last year when he had to go in?
With Tampa I think...
The media will ask Green if Domingue will start and to spite them Demko will start.

I don't trust Demko at all. Never have. I think try LD but MDP is doing very well in Utica and has a strong mentality. I think he is a better option . I hope he can stay in Utica one more year or at least until TDL. |

They were talking on the broadcast last night about Demko's strong mental game when he was in Utica. I think he'll get it at the NHL level but unfortunately the time really isn't now for him to figure it out lol |

I didn't like his game in Utica either
The thing I find with Demko is you can get to him and rattle him in bunches. He is solid when things are going good but he can fall apart easy also.
I hope he does well and I hope they trade him this year |
