I remember in the Sedins retirement year they were shut down to 7 minutes a game or two and the team had a bit of success . Fans and media were making it well known of the limited ice time. Magically one game they went back to 17 minutes a night . I call that gap in between games the closed door meeting with Jim. I believe a handshake deal was agreed upon to let them finish the year with the respect they earned and they would retire after the year.

I have a feeling like Don is mentioning a handshake deal finish this year with Canucks , collect bonus in July and walk away.

No GM and Coach could be that stupid and stubborn to continually roll Loui out on the top line.

I'd say at this point the line up card means (frank) all to how Green actually doles out the minutes. You could say it's probably a good thing but it really doesn't matter because Green will screw up the match ups anyways.

Top line LE, thinking that performance was average is laughable, and thinking it's the best lineup in regards to winning is stupid. Then again, I'm not an NHL coach so what do I know.

Yes you’re right Don, Patterson should have started with “well that was an average outing against Ottawa, I’m assuming you will be sticking with that average lineup against a much better team in Toronto “
