Honestly, I think being such a young team and having the momentum that we have, I think it's been a great benefit to us playing so many games. I do worry about running Georgie into the ground though. - 2sticks1puck
Meh, he's 24 and he's started 28 games this year. Nowadays teams treat goalies with kid gloves. Let them friggin play. Fatso started 70+ games for the Devils 8 years in a row. |

Ghost must still be hurt. You cannot lose your place in the lineup due to injury. |

Unless they flop this game Ghost is staying itchy AF for a bit. His game is his elusiveness, the more he heals up the better? I guesss? I dunno.
This Rangers team seems like you gotta just pound the rock. Guy like Ghost conjures images of Breadman and Zabanarama streaking 1-0 after some loosely goosey turnover |

As a proud American, I can honestly say I hate the Rangers more than any other team in sports.
However, I actually like most of the players from that 1994 Oil Rags team. For some reason, I was able to cheer for Messier, Leetch, and Richter. Heck, I even cheered for Tikkanen, Amonte, Graves, and Kovalev.
But (frank) Jeff Bekeboom. - jmatchett383
The Devils and Rangers are the teams I despise the most. When I was a kid the Penguins sucked and the Flyers beat them like a drum. |

What you did there, I see it.
A person would have to be clueless to think you can't lose your spot due to injury. |

Yes, because Hagg plays so well with the puck and has speed to make up for it.
I'm not saying Hagg is bad as a 6th, I just hate the "Ghost is an odd-man rush waiting to happen" narrative. Hell, Sanheim and Myers have probably been responsible for more this season that Ghost has. Ghost has always been the way, but no one seemed to care when he was putting up 40+ points. |

I don't hate the Penguins, I hate certain players, mostly Malkin. |

Even fatso was worked up to that workload. In the 93-94 season he only played about 50 games. He only played 40 of the team's 50 games in the lockout shortened season. It's really hard in this league to rapidly increase your workload. Part of Harts struggles last year may not only have been that teams figured the book on him after while, but he had just never played so many games in a year. I think some of that even carried over to this year.
You have a hall of fame goaltender sitting on the bench, it's OK to give a guy a blow every now and again. The only argument you could have for playing Georgie so much, is if you think Shesty is back soon and ribs are a b, I wouldn't expect Shesty back until the regular season is ending.

Well YEAH....when you put up points you’re DYNAMIC!
When you don’t you are careless. That’s just how it is.
I get your point tho

I know we're required to hate Crosby, but I can't say I do. I DID when he was a whiny baby, and in 2012, and I hate when he plays against us. But really, he's become what the NHL wanted him to be, which is the next Lemieux/Gretzky. I'm not in love with the dude, but he finally matured after they lost to Boston in 2013.
Malkin is one of the dirtiest players in the league, and is tough as nails when a player's back is turned or the ref is there. Neal is a dirty POS and Simmonds shouldn't have given him the option to fight. |

I think the notion that Crosby whines constantly is overstated. Fans of other teams simply dislike Crosby because how good he is. It's a case of he's not on their team so screw him. I appreciate how great the guy is. |

When he came into the league, he absolutely acted like a spoiled brat, and he did whine (Recchi, his teammate, even supposedly called him out). Even in the early 2010's, you could get him off his game (see: 2012, 2013). But around 2014, he seemed to finally reach that age when he matured into, honestly, one of the best captains in the NHL.
But I still hate having to play him because he has burned us so many times. |

I noticed this too, but at the same time if you could work over the refs and get an extra call or two a game, why wouldn't you? It's no different than an endless list of guys across multiple sports who have done the same thing. As an opposing fan I hate it, but secretly if he was on my team I'd want him to do the exact same thing. |

Syd definitely was a bit of a baby early on in his career. It seemed like the league was protecting him, too, with the number of calls for him/missed calls against him. For a stretch, it really was the Crosby & Ovi show with no real other superstars. But now, I respect the hell out of him. Amazing what he can do on the ice. |

Agree 100%. I personally think he's a really hard guy to hate now, unless he's playing against the Flyers. |
