Has Jeremy been reading my blogs? Taken my advice?

I feel honoured.

Those lines tonight made a lot more sense to me. Strome was back in the middle, Nylander was in the top 6 and the guys who should be on the 4th line were on the 4th line.

He reads here everyday, hence why Kubalik is now on power play.

Keith and Maatta with the most mins on D. Maatta seemed to struggle a bit tonight with decisions.

Carlsson and Boqvist both under 12 mins (even with all the PP time).

It is moronic to say he is exactly like Hossa. It is not to say he does a couple of things that reminds you of Hossa. Hossa sure couldn't shoot like Kubalik, tho.
- Elbows15

Early in his career Hossa had a good shot. Y the time he came to Chicago that poop was not as good..But the resourcfull Hossa tried different things. Long shots low and accurate. No longer the ei kef release wrist poop from slot area, which in earlier Cup runs he possessed
I clearly recall hearing and seeing the shots. Yet he suffered lengthy injuries in Pittsburgh and afterwards before landing in Chicago. He remained a good offensive contributor, albeit not the same as earlier when in Ottawa and Pittsburgh..His final years in Chicago he was not the goal scorer he once was, although still able to deposit the puck in net once in a while. His defense and effort.was by example which unlike his scoring he never falteted.url]

There’s no point in NOT tanking.

What good will winning a few more games do let’s be real?

No tanking doesn’t guarantee a top pick, but at the very least it gives us a better chance. What have we got to lose?

I don’t believe in the bad juju myth. I think these kids will be just fine in the long run if they have to go through a bit of a losing spell early in their careers. If anything it will further motivate them.

Only logical course of action is to tank. So tonight was a loss IMO. God damn Lightning choked it away.

- SimpleJack

This crap again? Aside from benching your top line, top 2 d and top goalie, how do you actually tank? Not to mention, you’ve got players and coaches trying to keep their jobs/ get a new contract.

Oh and there is that pesky issue of not even giving you a 20% chance at the top spot if you are the worst team. Please let this die...

Nicely done. We can apparently thank TC (and half the posters here) for letting him know.

Next season Colliton needs to play rookies more because they are to become among the top players eventually. Incremental steps perhaps but Keith cannot play an entire season. @28 TOI.

Idk...I think the 1.5 stars comment from before could maybe be extended to 2.5.
- HawkintheD

2.5 and as Ed Farmer would say "he's on the team for next year!"

I just read those sour grapes comments by Lehner, about how he took a back seat to the Hawks playing Crawford early on, middle season on and AFTER he started stinking out the joint when Crawford stepped up.

Did he think there wasn't a pecking order by way of the Stanley Cup recently concussed in place goalie was going to get kicked to the curb for him, because he certainly wasn't that sensational.

Glad he is no longer a Hawk if he so "emotional inside his problems" he needed to get this off his chest as soon as he meets the Vegas press?

C..... Ya

I hear you Wiz; dude wrote his own ticket out of town with the dumb 'not taking a discount, want and deserve term' statement. I mean whether you feel that way or not - it amounts to going to the press with your contract expectations.

And well ... that turns out to be ... unprofessional.

Who knew?

A grammar book used for its title part of a sentence to illustrate wrong placement of commas. It was, " a panda eats, shoots and leaves.". This describes Lehner to a T.

He’s still no Hossa.

I can live with Dominik Kubalík never being Hossa-like as long as he doesn't turn into Richard Panik.

not sure if already posted, but if Lehner wants to know why he is already on 5th team, this is why...

Stan should learn from the mistake he made (one of many) with Gustafsson and deal Kubalik at his peak value. Stan should trade Kubalik at the draft, he should be able to get a 2nd round pick and mid-level prospect. That would be a solid return for a a player that original cost a 5th round pick.

Duuuude. Very unduuuude of you. Tanking is for losers and perpetuates a losing culture. We have a lot of young guys who have the heart and skill and I dont want to even think about bringing some lose first ideas around here. You know that.

The Hawks totally need to tank, every draft position they move up accelerates the rebuild. In 2018 if the Hawks finished just one place worse they could have drafted Hughes (stud, Calder favourite) instead of Boqvist (bust, plays 11 mins per game).

There's a difference between being candid and a good quote for the press and being a bridge burning bumhole with no filter...he probably should have waited to pop off about that stuff until after he signed with someone this off season- even if he's right, it's pretty unprofessional and won't do anything for his market value.
