I just read those sour grapes comments by Lehner, about how he took a back seat to the Hawks playing Crawford early on, middle season on and AFTER he started stinking out the joint when Crawford stepped up.
Did he think there wasn't a pecking order by way of the Stanley Cup recently concussed in place goalie was going to get kicked to the curb for him, because he certainly wasn't that sensational.
Glad he is no longer a Hawk if he so "emotional inside his problems" he needed to get this off his chest as soon as he meets the Vegas press?

Hawks are a very good 10 minute team - they can play like Cup contenders for half of a period or more - but can’t put it together for more than that.
Good to see them get 3 goals 5x5 PLUS another PP goal PLUS a hat trick for the rookie who can score PLUS 5 in the third PLUS.... - StLBravesFan
a 5-2 goalie win...in a place they never win... and bolts lose for the first time going into the 3rd with a lead oh yeah and the hawks scored 5 in the 3rd...
hockey is a crazy game.. |

Maybe. But when he is out of position he hustles to get back into position. Gus would just float or day dream. - -Doh-
He gets enough practice at it. |

There’s no point in tanking. Doesn’t guarantee anything anyways, and it brings bad juju. Put the kids in the best possible position to win each night, and just see what happens. |

Sure it is. Just like any expression of disappointment over the Hawks not having drafted the next Toews, Kane, Hossa, Keith, Seabs, etc.
Kublik is in his first pro year in NA and is one goal away from 30. He may not be Hossa but he is a guy I think most of us want on the team going forward. |

Saying they are similar or their skill level may be moronic. To say his speed or back check is as good as Hossa may be moronic. But comparing them is ok. Like comparing green and blue. Sheesh. |

True. But not as much as Gus. Calling Gus a dman was a misnomer. |

He's a bum! Was reading comments on him in the Athletic earlier in the year and I'm amazed that there are still people that think that somehow most all of his success was attributable to playing behind a great D. |

It is moronic to say he is exactly like Hossa. It is not to say he does a couple of things that reminds you of Hossa. Hossa sure couldn't shoot like Kubalik, tho. |

There’s no point in NOT tanking.
What good will winning a few more games do let’s be real?
No tanking doesn’t guarantee a top pick, but at the very least it gives us a better chance. What have we got to lose?
I don’t believe in the bad juju myth. I think these kids will be just fine in the long run if they have to go through a bit of a losing spell early in their careers. If anything it will further motivate them.
Only logical course of action is to tank. So tonight was a loss IMO. God damn Lightning choked it away. |

We are arguing levels of suck here. Once you get to suck, it doesn't matter how much.

Tonight was a win, you play as hard as possible and let the chips fall wherever they fall. We might be a lottery team, but you still have to go for it, the kids need to see that, they need to see the effort from the veterans, they need to try and win out. I know that’s not realistic and come April we will be hoping for that Hawks lottery ball to come in top three, in the mean time you try and win every time you step on the ice. |

What a great win !!!!! HAWKS just hung in there ,Crow was fantastic in the 2nd ,that guy is such a battler . Kublink love that guy ,great to see he could finally crack the top PP . .Lots of grit out their tonight ,taking hits to make plays .And a little push back late and the game well in hand .
No sense in tanking ,play hard the rest of the way and good things will happen .. GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!! |

LET' EM PLAY. The Hawks sure did in the third. Great job by committee and a super effort by Crow and Kubalik. |

Hawks gave up a lot of SAT (62) and SOG (38), and Crawford made some very nice saves, but they actually protected him fairly well, considering the stats: only 4 high danger chances for TBL (all situations, natural Statrick).
Heat chart shows not much for either team around the net. |

I no longer care if they lose, but I don’t think it’s ever a good idea to lose on purpose. |

I was only able to tune in for the third period. I attribute a 5 goal period to me ... Kubalik gets a little credit. I guess. Great to see a come from behind victory. Good for the young players & good for the locker room. Tanking is a silly notion. We were around the middle last year, but ended up with Dach at 3. Just keep playing to win & let the young players continue to develop. |
