Have you ever paused to think that it was the contract spaces the leafs valued? Like, more than the players themselves? - Dozzer
you wouldn't trade 2 2nd round drafted prospects if you needed contract space. |

My focus for the moment is on my health... knowing your brain is going to be cut into is a bit daunting... also.. having the “what if I seize right now?” Thought in the back of my mind constantly is a bit distracting too. - Dozzer

somebody said the leafs traded a 1st for muzzin, and it was actually more than a 1st. a 1st and 2 2nd round drafted prospects. that was the only point, that and grundstrom is still a good prospect as is durzi in his 1st ahl season. - ghetto puck
Take it back one step further ..."someone" was crying that Dubas gave his 1st round picks away ...inferring that he should have kept them so that he can use them to add a D'man.
I reminded that "someone" that one of those firsts was used to acquire Muzzin, who coincidentally happens to be a defensemen.
You then jumped in whining that it was more than a first ....point missed, kleenex? |

The day my wife and I bought our house, we bought our real estate agent a cup of coffee as we did the paperwork.
To this day, we have never thought of the price of that cup of coffee as being part of what we paid for the house. - Atomic Wedgie

To be more clear, I was more suggesting that the Leafs consider it.
Obviously you’d make him do a few laps of the rink to assess his fitness.
But being on the shelf may benefit Dion at this point - old but fresh legs. - Atomic Wedgie
Other than this age, his speed and his fitness, all of which by the way are bad, Phaneuf's problem has always been and likely will always be what goes on between the ears. I'd take an old, slow guy like Hainsey because he's always played using his head but Phaneuf? Dumb as a mule and twice as ugly.
Plus, can't have him walking in there and (frank)ing with the team radio. They got Bieber 24/7 going on in there, the kids have the settings just how they like them. Bad for team chemistry. |

Actually that’s exactly what you would do... anything less and you’ll end up paying the team to take them... the team you’re trading them to has to think they’re potential NHLers too you know |

I’m really surprised that real estate agents still exist - the clock is ticking on that industry.
I need someone to take pretty pictures, hold an open house and do a little paperwork. How that’s worth more than $10,000 is bizarre in this day and age. |

Why is the sports media pretending like the NHL is or should be up in arms about the emergency back-up situation?
It's happened how many times in the past 20-30 years? Three? Four?
Unless they plan on having a qualified goalie attend every single NHL game, who can play for either team, they have no solution.
Shut the (frank) up and keep moving. |

Travis Dermott took Muzzin’s place on the top pairing with Justin Holl, Sandin was moved up with Tyson Barrie, and Martin Marincin was inserted on the bottom pairing with Timothy Liljegren.
Not again! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

They have an emergency plan.
The emergency plan worked perfectly.
Obviously it needs to be changed. |

Use to be that they knew "areas" really well and do the leg work of visiting properties but Google maps put that to a stop too.
That's why Purple Bricks is every third advertisement. They know they're on to something. |

Too funny, I was having this conversation today with a friend.
He lives in a home on Russell Hill Road, steps to Eglinton where the subway is going in. You can imagine the value of his house. He was considering moving.
Between land transfer taxes and realty fees it was going to cost him 187k.
Ridiculous. He is going to put the money into upgrades and changes to his current home.

Worked more than perfectly for Carolina. That microscopic market just got a week of free advertising and an attendance boost.
If an emergency back-up cost a team a Cup, then maybe we'd have something to talk about. Nothing bad happened except the excruciating embarrassment endured by enormous amounts of Leafs fans. But they're use to that already. |

Oh, and my own story a couple years ago. We were looking at moving the Realtor said 5% commission.
I said, the house is going to sell within a week. You will be making many times what a brain surgeon makes per hour.
She didn't love me.
The rates have become stupid since housing prices went nuts and it isn't diffcult to sell anything in the GTA.
