It's possible tho. Tampa had the best record in hockey last year and they got swept in the 1st rd. I guess they weren't contenders last season - PatC80
Possible and probable are two different things.
They got swept because of how they played, which is how the Leafs play, all out offensive hockey. Difference with the Bolts though is they actually have had past playoff success and high end talent to play that way and get away with it. The Leafs? Still 1st round exits. Can you notice the difference or...? |

After quite a bit of back reading, I have come to the conclusion that Adam French drinks at work. |

Yes Kucherov, Stamkos, Hedman are older than Matthews, Marner and Rielly. I'm impressed that you are able to predetermine the 2020 Cup winner in February

They're older, proven more and won more. They have proven they are contenders. The hottest team after Jan. 1st last year was the Blues. This year, it's Tampa Bay. The Leafs haven't proven anything yet and they aren't a hot team. Something like 8-9-3 in their last 20.
Cup winner in 2020 won't be the Leafs and that's not a stretch of a prediction at all. They'll be one of the weakest playoff teams and those teams usually lose rather quickly. Sometimes, with serious luck or a playoff style, they win 1 round. But the way the Leafs play, I'd be surprised if they got that done against Tampa Bay or Boston. |

All Iβve heard all week is how stupid Lou is and how the Islanders are getting bounced in the first round. No, not every team has a legit chance at the cup by simply making the playoffs. |

Yeah but Lou has never built a tough, defensive, hard working team that could overachieve in the playoffs.

All dogs have wolf DNA so I doubt very much the wolf would become a cannibal but it'd be an interesting experiment. |

I know that coyotes will eat small dogs, so I bet a wolf would too. |

I was talking more like if you raised them together. Like a team. Coyotes could cross breed and be domesticated if somebody tried hard enough. Same with wolf hybrids. |

So you said something you believed to be false to get a response therefore you believe the Leafs aren't contenders. You got yourself. |
