Well, they poop the bed once again.
Wonder if they get 17 more points to earn more than the last season under GMTM, considered to be a failure.

Team is going slowly in one direction, then turns slowly to go in another direction.
Zamboni driver needed for next GM

They played fine against Colorado and Vegas they just aren't as good as they are and have worse goaltending

The plan was 100% to be good this year, it just didnt happen
- jcragcrumple

I would hope his plan is to be good every year, and it looks like they are sticking to a plan. Am I happy (frank) NO what ever there thinking, I hope it works. It's a big offseason in my mind, they have the resources to really change this team for next year.

Yes they did, which when you think of it, makes one believe
Krueger successful in being able to motivate the players he has to play in a reasonably competent manner in a system that generally works for their capabilities.
Shines a light on the lack of talent, not enough to win consistently, especially in key roles.

Most of the boys played a tough, physical game and held their own in that regard, just not enough talent to finish many opportunities. VGK's played an aggressive system and took Jack out of the game, game over again.

That wouldn't have happened if Eichel was 100%.

Rumor is he has a sports hernia.

He knew.

Subpar goaltending. A defense that has several good, but still green players in Dahlin, Joker, and Miller. And a top 6 where Eichel is the only player who plays with an intensity to want to win. The 4th line was a nice surprise this year. But still, not enough was changed from last year's roster to expect a different result.

Ullmark has similar stats to Vasilevskiy, and Grubauer.

I think the goalie issues is more the coach riding Hutton way too long early in the season and now

Johansson plays an insane game vs the jets sunday, and coach rides hutton on 2 must win games in a row and hutton let them down

that's on ralph

Might be time to shut Jack down really playing for nothing at this point. Improve draft positioning and get him healthy for next year

I think the problem is that Botts likes to shop in the discount aisle and is afraid to take a swing.

- Hutton is a career backup
- Johansson is a complimentary 3rd-line player on a good team
- Skinner was a goal scorer with red flags
- Frolik was.... well, Frolik
- Vesey is he who was with the Rags
- Sheary is a guy who put up minor numbers playing with Sid

The other thing to note is that almost all of them are perimeter players. Last night was the perfect example of that - we just kept shooting prayers at the net hoping for a lucky bounce. I swear that I throw up a little bit every time I hear "pucks to the net".

- Slump Buster

Or maybe the “right” (in his mind) high profile player has’t been available for him to “take a swing” at

How would u have liked if he traded for Kessel or
PK Subban??

Says someone who doesn't pay to attend games

If he's endangering his career or the start of next season - yes , other wise NO

See if anyone has some balls on this team and steps up to take a little pressure of him.

Can’t poop him down unless he’s hurt
How hurt?
That’s up to him & the team to decide
I doubt if he’d sit if it were something minor
That doesn’t seem like Jack

So paying to attend games somehow makes one more knowledgeable and believable than someone who doesn't?

As much as I really don't want to start over with a new GM, I believe the risk associated with him misengineering the rebuild this offseason is just too great for this organization.

Teri and Kym need to pull the cord on him now, start the search and get a leg up on the competition.

Now the question is what to do with Ralph. Pegula's have gone on record they don't forsee hiring a POHO, yet they have a very successful chief executive of a large sports organization on their payroll who looks to be miscast...they need to step-back, do some true soul-searching and reflection on the past 9 years of dismal failure after failure. Insert Ralph as Sabres President, over all of it, not just Hockey Ops.

Do it now. Ralph can Be Sabres President & Interim Head Coach.

- IonSabres

I have zero confidence in the Pegulas making the correct decision on anything at this point.

It makes someone who pays to see jack eichel want to see jack eichel. Pretty obvious Richard bag

Also: scouts go to games to gain knowledge. Then management believes them. They do not pay.

For the sake of unity in the HB Sabres Community,
I think the new GM should trade both Reinhart and Ristolainen for good pieces in return.
Those are the two most controversial pieces.
Let's dump them both and move on, I mean they have lost horrendously with them, they can lose without them.
Get rid of both fvck ups!

Every day all day posters bash risto, mccabe, dahlin, Hutton, skinner, the log line ..... Krueger, botts, the pegulas even the straws at the kbc.

Ever notice people just discuss both sides and opinions.

God forbid I mention Samson reinhart not trying hard, or having 2 points ( a secondary assist and a goal he moved 3 inches over the goal line) in the past 6 games and I'm enemy #1 .

While sam has impressive point totals ( with eichel) he really doesnt bring much else to the table. I've acknowledged his stats.

The sammers (one in particular) just hammer you with x amount of points in y days/games. Never bringing up any other facets of his game. Speed, effort, hitting, defensive ability, ability to carry a line, leadership or really any other intangibles. Just points.

If sammers want to point out his point totals, why isnt it fair to point out non point totals- especially in season on the line games?

It's a hockey board, everyone vents.
