This team is a complete disaster and it's worse in person, I watched a complete team that was lifeless the whole game. From when I watched the warm up at ice level and seen Eichel snap 2 sticks in warm and 2 more in the game, I knew there was an issue tonight.

McCabe is worse in person as is Hutton, Eichel was off all night and during commercial breaks the team was lifeless on the bench, no emotion , no talking , no nothing. They looked like they could care less in the 3rd period, lazy passes, dump ins and break outs. Krueger stood there on the bench and looked confused the whole game.

Risto looked good as did Miller and Dahlin also the new guy. I'm guessing Simmonds voice isn't loud enough in the room.

Eichel not taking face offs still, took a couple but that looked to be it.

This teams needs jumper cables or something because this is not working.

Sounds like a team that knows they are finished and have nothing to play for.

Nice list with the exception of 68. Why would you trade a goal scorer that is going to come cheap for the next few years?

I am by no means a fan of 23 but it's criminal that they haven't given him a look at 2c. especially when you consider how bad 90 is in that spot.
- Slump Buster

I again agree 100%.

Johansson only seems to put shots on net at gun point.

I thought they played hard last night.

They just don't have the horses to keep up with a team like Vegas, especially with Eichel at 70-80%.

A for effort but gross on both of the bolded above.

Also, Granlund has not been a center for a while now.

Sabres playoff chances this morning:

Realistic - They are done
Optimistic - They are 10 points back of Columbus for the final wild card spot with 2 games in hands
Realistic - Buffalo actually has to win those games in hand
Realistic - That is even with the Sabres being 6-4 in their last 10 with Columbus being 1-4-5
Realistic - The Hurricanes are 2 points back of Columbus with 3 games in hand
Realistic - The Hurricanes have a +25 differential
Summary - Same as where I started: the Sabres are done

"Johansson passes too much, he needs to shoot"

Yeah okay but he literally whiffs every single time he tries to shoot since about October 24th

I watched the Colorado game and loved the pace, was not able to catch the game last night. If Eichel is truly hurt they should shut him down for the year.

good post, have not had a sam bashing post from you in a few hours
- navinrjohnson

How do you think Sams been playing lately?

Picking up the slack for eichels injury?

Showing leadership when we are making a playoff run?

2 points in the last 6 games

When you judge a player based solely on scoring statistics, as you have for the past 6 years.
It's fair to point out that he isnt doing anything to help this team win.

My question was for 89, who watched him live in person.
He doesn't just blast x points in y games.

Fyi- their extending sam unless botts is shown the door.

Oh just realized we scored 2 goals last night hahaha Skinner.

I like him and Simmonds together. If we can sign Simminds to a 3x3 deal or something, I'd love that.

Sabres are 100% cooked fried done.

Eichel needs to be shutdown. He’s hurt pretty badly. You can just tell in his game. He’s lost a step (due to injury)
