If JC can some how figure out a way to play both Keith and Murphy 30 minutes each a night, they may have something. - scottak
Still gotta pick someone for the other 30.

Nah. A 3rd for Goofy Gus is a steal. There was no market for goalies. Goalies rarely return what fans think they are worth. - Elbows15
Its a mute point now we got what we got and move on. |

Someone on that line needs to realize where the puck is. The d-men seem to be getting a lot of chances from the points with them on the ice, but they are either behind the net or already circling back when they go to shoot. |

Moot point, one which is no longer important, due to circumstances.

I’ll take ‘Nothing left but AHL defensemen and rookies, Alex.’
Perhaps 10 from Maatta? That gets ya to 70, and you only need to cover 120. |

SpecialK just earned a break for stupidity. His terrible decision at the blue line led to that penalty |

Seeler & Maatta out on PK.
That’s a bold strategy! |

Yup, amazing how mental mistakes in your own zone leads to bad things. |

Right before those two were sent on the ice I’m pretty sure I could see Colliton say “hold my beer”. |

This one he made at the other blue line. You either close the gap and tie the man up/get the puck. Or fall back. He gets caught in nowhereville in that position far too many times.

It’s actually going to be close.
DK just over 16 1/2 minutes; Murphy a few seconds under 16 1/2.
Probably on the way to 26 minutes each. |

No, someone makes poop up & this board never forgets. I thought memory was supposed to be the first thing that goes with these old fellas?
You reinjure your leg yet? How's rugby going? - I Am The Breadman
These old men geezers remember what they think is important and what they did back in their day. Living vicariously through the younger people is all they can do now.
Rehab/strength building is going well. Currently in pre-season. Also, its AFL football, not rugby haha. Similar, but not quite the same. More open play bumps haha

Hello, Wolfie, can you explain how Stan could increase the return? Use Gus and Lehner as examples. What would be done, specifically, to raise the offers to a level you would find acceptable? - mohel
It's all conjecture and speculation. For starters, did you read my post? I said I thought the Gus deal was fair. I explained my concern over the Lehner deal. And I readily admit there is a lot we don't know. I simply compared previous similar deals with the Lehner deal and the return for Lehner was well below the return for previously acquired TDL soon-to-be free agents who can really help a team in the short term.
So to ask me "what he could have done" is really a question that can't be answered. I am only showing concern over what is comparatively a poor return for similar deals, including two deals Stan himself made.
I have not bashed him, called for his head, have only expressed questions/concerns when looking at the multiple trades that simply don't fall in line with this deal. I think constructive criticism is fair and as you notice in my post I also gave Stan credit where credit is due. You are surely not asking for people to ONLY be positive about Stan are you? |

Does Dach win every board battle?
If JC ever gets his head out of his @ss and puts 77 back between 88 & 20, they’ll have at least 2 decent lines. But I’m not holding my breath waiting for Colliton to get a clue. |

I was going to say the same thing. He outworks two defenses regularly. |
