A few years ago, someone made the comparison between the Leafs drafting team and "a green plant" for a period of time.

The green plant was basically drafting the next player on a public list made by the NHL or TSN I don't remember.

The plant was doing better than the Leafs.

I wish someone would take the time to do that with the Habs.

I agree! Make the sacrifice for a generational player and an actual difference maker that even the Habs couldn't (frank) up. But would a team with the 1st overall and drafting Lafrenierre (sp?) want to hand that over?? They'd be in a position to need that player most. Most likely. Would be tough and you'd have to give a TON! But i'm all in for that.

No one is giving away their chance to draft a game changer like Lafrenière. Unless it's a team that wins the lottery and who had minimal odds. But Detroit, the 3 California teams, NJ, Ottawa....no way they would trade it.
