Screw that...I'm cheering for the bunch of jerks who embarrassed the Leafs by wholeHEARTedly backing a 42 year old Zamboni driver, and even then, turning the whole thing into an experience he'll never forget. They've won my admiration for now, gotta say. - Darksyde
Sounds like a good plan , they had an interesting deadline too ! |

What I find confusing and worrisome is that Bergevin mainly said the draft was a crapshoot and mostly luck.
I mean, there is a bit of luck yes, but I really think they are looking at the wrong stuff when evaluating players. That's why they fail in my opinion.

The place needs to be deserted just to make sure Molson gets the message. |

yeah he seems to put the blame more on the players for not developing properly, instead of pointing out they could make adjustments and improve their development program. Contrary to what he said, all players aren't given the exact same tools to develop, this varies from one team to another.

Even so, most of the seats are sold anyway. Not many people are willing to give up their season tix |

and the draft is giant dartboard, the more darts (picks) you have, the more chances you have of getting decent players..?
usually you can improve your aiming when playing darts though... |

Exactly. They expect a kid to walk right in and be great so they don't have to work at developing. They don't understand their role after they draft the kids.
Absolute failure of direction. And MB wants to talk about attitude and no excuses. He's a hypocritical moron. He's lost, in WAY over his head and he's running out of excuses. It's downright embarrassing. He would have been better off, and probably would have faced less backlash, if he didn't even show up for the presser. WOW. |

Yeah, I know the seats are pre-sold but if they were empty it sure wouldn't look good (ie: on TV) for the organization.
Also, falling TV ratings (ad revenues) could hit Molson's pocketbook. |
