Ladd contract lasts 3 more year, Parise lasts 5 more years. Ladd contract is $2 million less. If anything else is coming back to the Wild along with Ladd, that is a win for the Wild. Cap space to add youth....and those years 4 and 5 on Parise contract would basically be $15 million of cap space for the Wild.

Got all the talent but nothing going on between the ears. He was given tons of chances. He’s an arrogant tool with nothing to back it up. Every team had a chance to get him for “free” and passed. There’s a reason for that.

If Parise is traded and Min does not retain any of his future salary, he is off their books. If he goes to another team and retires, the other team eats it. If Min retains any of his salary and he goes / retires, they eat the portion they retain.
